20.01.2022 Two lovely little quilts for Katrina - Crane panel quilt with cherry blossom quilting and calm water quilting on Duckie in the Rain embroidered quilt. I used a no-sew zone on the embroidered section, the background fabric was already stabilised with a pellon like fabric. Strangely, less quilting takes more time... all those ends to tie off!

16.01.2022 Olde worlde Cooma quilt finished yesterday for Jo, and the day before a wall hanging with embroidered panels, Natalie Bird. This quilt will look much better once I tie off and sew in the million threads around these panels. To make all over quilting work on the embroidered panels would mean using off-white thread, which would look terrible on the rest of the quilt, but honey coloured thread would look good on the main body of the quilt, but terrible on the embroidered panels... solution 'no sew' sections to all over quilting in honey coloured thread, down side? See note re one million threads above, LOL!!

08.01.2022 Can y'all hear the whoopin' and hollerin'??? I have been having problems with the machine and have been unable to complete any quilts while its wobbling all over the shop. I've taking pics and doing tests and calibrating and cleaning and cleaning and cleaning. Finally today, I decided to take the whole thing apart and put it back together and I think the problem was the worn thread on the top of this screw!! Tomorrow I will go to the hardware store and get a new one and a nut and see if I can be happily stitching again. Sorry for the delay in returning quilts while this is sorted. Thanks to Crystal Symthe at Intelliquilter for her support and guidance through this whole ordeal. Its been incredibly infuriating and frustrating process, but the machine is now sparkling clean and should be ready to go again... soon!!

07.01.2022 TA DAH!!! Finally and at last after weeks of repairs and waiting for parts and a whole heap of cleaning, oiling, cleaning, testing ... blah blah blah... the first quilt has rolled off the machine and I am back in business YAYYY This little gem is for Katrina, peony quilting.

04.01.2022 And now an enforced rest as one of the drive wheels - rubber coated - has spat the dummy and started to break down into a thousand little pieces on the tracks :( I'm stuck now until a new one arrives in the new year. Meantime, MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone and all the best for a HAPPY NEW YEAR
