24.01.2022 reminder for Saturday week

23.01.2022 Hi Phantoms Strategic Football Meeting this Friday at 6pm open to all, Chair/Hosted by Peter "Tablets" Arbery. Message from Steve Ramma.... Dear Phantoms Players, Support Staff, Members and Supporters. The PHOS Camden Football club needs your help. 2020 has created some amazing challenges and right now we want you to share how you are feeling so that we can move past EVERY frustration that is being felt and tweak what we are doing to make 2021 and beyond enjoyable/successful years. You may not be worried about anything and keen for next season... this is good news! If however you are seeing opportunities for us to improve further, please attend our Strategic Meeting this Friday at 6pm at the Phantom Cave. We want players and support staff, members there ultimately we all strive with you for our club to be a place that you: 1. Feel safe and enjoy being there 2. Want your friends and family to play sport or support there too 3. That it feels like you are making a difference to something special 4. Encourage juniors to stay at our club and be your team mates of the future These things only occur when we have each other’s backs, speak up- when we are frustrated, and solve one problem at a time. We also need to acknowledge that no-one at the club is perfect, and finally we cannot do anything alone and expect it to succeed. Yes, footy clubs teach us a lot about how we can succeed in life and develop life-long relationships. This stuff is simple, effective and yet sometimes we bottle up stuff or talk behind each other’s backs this is destructive for everyone. Please message me if there is something you have on your mind and I will make sure this gets on the agenda for the evening. If you are unable to attend, please try to get there anyway! Seriously though, still message me and I will make sure your concern is addressed. Warmly, Steve Ramsey

18.01.2022 I was joined by Minister Corey Wingard to watch the mighty PHOS Camden Football Club Phantoms in action out at Camden Park in Novar Gardens recently. Corey an...d I presented President David Leister and the Club with a certificate commemorating their successful application for an active club grant. We also inspected the nearby netball and tennis courts behind the Club. With a court resurface and upgrades to the viewing shelter there is a terrific opportunity to relocate the PHOS Netball Club back to Camden Oval.

07.01.2022 Very disappointing Saturday for the Phantoms with 3 big losses and senior football is all over for 2020. The coaches match report will be up tomorrow on the web site. 06.01.2022 Our new coaching team for 2021: Big Welcome to new senior coach Damian Minners Minervini. Hi everyone, Steve Jacquier here, the new PHOSC Camden Football Director for 2021.... We have formulated a new Football Committee. They are Steve Ramsey, Bart Campbell, Greg Buss, Tim Johns, Sam Inglis and Jake Scharenberg. With a lot of helpers to assist us. Just a quick update on what has happened in the last few weeks. Gary Peach has stood down from the Football Director’s Role due to some health issues but he is fine. So we wish him all the best. Unfortunately last years coach, Ryan Willits has also stood down because of family commitments. We thank Ryan for a good job in 2020 in trying conditions and wish him the best. One door closes and other great door opens. After an extensive search for a replacement coach, a newly formed Coaches Committee, Michael Whitford, Brenton Honor, Nick Ramsey and myself, found four very good applicants to interview. We decided on 2 exceptional candidates and after extensive interviewing process , I am ecstatic to announce the new 2021 and beyond PHOS Camden A Grade coach is Damian Minners Minervini. Damian spent last year as Senior Assistant at the Brighton Football Club prior to that was Reserves Coach and League assistant coach at West Adelaide Football Club in the SANFL. Damian has also spent time at the South Adelaide football club and spent 2 years as a scout for the Geelong football club based in SA. Damian is married to Kylie and has three children Jade (15), Stella (13) and Cameron (11) who are all excited about Dad’s appointment. Damian is not new to the club, he spent 3 years here previously where he coached the B grade to a Division 2 Premiership in 2005! In that time, Damian made many friends and he is familiar to many of the PHOS Camden stalwarts. He is very excited by the opportunity and to be back to the club. Damian’s vision is to return the Phos Camden football club back to division 1 as quickly as possible. As a starting point, we would welcome all players, members, supporters, parents and officials to a ‘Meet the Coaches Night (including u17s) ’ on Monday the 30th of November at the club (Bar Open free nibbles provided). We will be kicking off at 6pm, Damian will be presenting his vision and game plan from 6.30pm which everyone is welcome to enjoy. It is very important that ALL players attend. Pre-Season will start on Monday the 7th of December from 6pm. We will train for 3 weeks leading into Xmas. Venue TBD.

02.01.2022 We’d like to thank the juniors for there ongoing support! The seniors get just as big a thrill having little guys there cheering them on! Well done to all grades Go Phos!
