19.01.2022 Behind the scenes... every Monday I do the numbers, even when there are no shoots/sales but I’m pretty excited for the upcoming sessions that have been rescheduled from earlier in the year! Heaps of families with some fun things planned. Plus those Time Of Our Lives sessions with the grade 6’s are going to be heaps of fun. Oh... also... I had another big project idea... let’s see where I can go with that!! How are you doing out there???

18.01.2022 It’s a dancing kinda Monday! School is back here in Melbourne. And while it may still be remote for a little bit I’m still pretty happy that they are back! Time to get their brains engaged!

15.01.2022 Tonight my wife’s Nan, Isabel passed away. How beautiful is this portrait of her? This was taken in the 50’s, black and white and hand coloured. Framed behind glass and in pride of place in her home until the end, and now will be hung pride of place in our home. Just remember, this Christmas when your loved ones say photo time don’t protest, hide or do silly things. Just do it. It is important, and I’m not talking to the teenagers, I’m talking to the mums, dads, grandmas a...nd grand dads. One day photos of you will be priceless, let them be taken. Don’t get all wrapped up in how you look, trust me, years from now no one will care about how you look but they will look at a photo and remember the love. So take the photos, be in the photos, and just enjoy knowing you are loved enough to be in the photos. Smile, laugh and enjoy it and then print it. Put it in an album, hang it on a wall put it in a drawer. If Isabel had left us a negative of this photo we wouldn’t be able to see it, same goes for photos on a hard drive or USB. Prints done well will last. Enjoy your time with your loved ones these next few days, ignore the Christmas crazies ans appreciate who and what you have. Have a great Christmas and we’ll talk soon. 12.01.2022 THANK YOU For those wondering how I went in the International Rise Awards... well... I didn't make the top three in either categories (still really proud of top 20) BUT I did manage to pick up BOTH the People's Choice Awards! Thank you everyone who threw a vote my way, I really appreciate it! My quirky images tend to get ok awards but as they aren't overly "worked" images they tend to miss the top spots. But I'm glad I got these ones!... One image which was a real life client shoot and one that was a personal image. I really love it when my actual work images get up, the everyday stuff I do. The personal images are good to get awards with too but knowing that what I'm delivering for clients is at the top level is my aim, awards or no awards. Awards are nice, but I'm really humbled by everyones support . Thanks again!
