25.01.2022 A lovely little idea put together by CJ

24.01.2022 A no more fitting place for fairy, than in her own fairytale story. Carrying the creativeness of the afternoon shoot over into the composite editing.

23.01.2022 "Storms rolling in, take cover, it will blow over"

22.01.2022 The exciting transition from childhood into adulthood is fleeting! So many changes happening and with the selfies obsession you may not feel the need to get a great shot of your Teenagers! But capturing their personality, beauty and likeness is totally worth it and a selfie just wont do, often in fact distorting their faces and adding filters. Before you know it they are adults and the moment is gone forever! PM us to find out how we can artistically photograph your teen and talk to us about our very reasonable prices.

20.01.2022 Hi Friends, I am still running my mobile art van but i have also secured myself a lovely space in Red Hill where i plan to work with local artists to bring to you the most exciting art workshops including photography with my photography buddy Christine Janke O'Sullivan. It is still being built! But i would love your support! Please like and share my The Creative Process Pty Ltd page if you are into art, craft or ANYTHING creative! This space is coming soon to Red Hill Brisbane and it is going to be a lot of fun for everyone in the community!

19.01.2022 "Light keeper of the forest" "Light dancer's 'bout her silvery shoon as the dying light, meets the waning moon. The guardian, protective as the sun disappears ... bringing with it dark pockets of fears. Light keeper of the forest shed your glow, bring your calm, watch it grow softly tread the forest floor, dancing beams, dark no more." Poetry by Christine Butler See more

17.01.2022 Four images merged together make up this magical nightime picture, looking forward to teaching how to do this and more in our Meh to Masterpiece workshops coming later this year.

15.01.2022 On the edge of Springtide. Accepting of each coming day, the quiet spot she sought, lost in hidden springs of consciousness...... Thoughtful in her thoughts. On the edge of springtide, she sits under a lilac sky, pondering all the questions, all the wonders why. Curiously open, that still-cradled heart, as she ponders folklore, the secrets they impart, and the girl is changeling so the child is no more....... Poetry by Christine Butler

12.01.2022 Part of a regular fun Monday shoot CJ and I do from Photography 2C I get to model when we are lacking a younger more suitable one! Up shot of hanging around one and being a photohog yourself is the nice pic's for memories throughout the years! This is a dying art as more and more people take their own shots with their digital sophisticated cameras, however a real photographers artistic eye will always beat a lucky snap shot! and we use none of the auto settings except, focus, the rest is manual, plus props which we often make ourselves and of course creative imaginative thinking.

12.01.2022 So last Saturday in Melbourne we had the privilege of participating in the Promoting Passion workshop hosted by the very inspirational and talented artist Brooke Shaden. Brooke encouraged us to create the art that we wanted to do, the art that pleases us and not what others think you should do, to be brave and to question what will be your legacy?

12.01.2022 Christine Butler and Christine Janke O'Sullivan about to embark on a hands on workshop with the brilliant Brooke Shaden's Promoters of Passion

12.01.2022 A composite picture can be as simple or as complicated as you like. In my yard I have a beautiful maple tree, it keeps track of all the seasons with its ever changing leaf colours, it is beautiful no matter what seasonal gown she is wearing, whether that be the verdant greens of summer and spring or the rich golden colours of autumn. Winter is my favourite though when I can see the intricate traces of her branches against the western sky. This picture is a composite of two images, the base image is the tree with her feathered tenants, on which I have used an overlay of the second image, the night sky... Happy creating CJ :-)

11.01.2022 Another one from our forest girls series

10.01.2022 Inspiration for art can come from many different sources, books, poems, stories, nature, crazy ideas in your head, all sorts of places. I recently went for a long walk through a beautiful rainforest and came across an enormous fallen tree, with it's once hidden roots now exposed to the passing hikers on the trail. I immediately knew I wanted to use it in a composite picture, it was such a magnificent structure. The fallen fig became the base photo for my combined image "Perse...phone". I took my time walking through the rainforest continually stopping to take pictures of all the lovely things that nature had on offer, mossy rocks, delicate vines, tiny mushrooms, and giant trees. The images not only serve as a reminder of the day, but also as a great resource of textures and overlays for future composite art. I thought the beautiful Molly too young to be Mother Nature so hence the name Persephone the goddess of springtime, flowers, and vegetation. See more

10.01.2022 Having a play with composite photography is such fun! Here is another one from our forest girl series. Will play a little more with it yet!

09.01.2022 Recent photo shoot at a wedding we did a couple of weeks ago a mixture of shots straight out of the camera and fun fantasy composite ones.......more photos to follow.

08.01.2022 "The Weight of Waiting" This is the second image that I've created in a series of images around issues involving conservation and the environment.

08.01.2022 Still have this coat for cute dress up shots!

08.01.2022 Way back in June at the Brooke Shaden Workshop we attended, Brooke put to us questions about purpose and passion. I have thought about these things and have found what I've known all along, that I care deeply for animals and the environment. I'm an avid hiker and enjoy being amongst nature, but lately I have been wondering as I photograph the environment I'm emersed in, are my pictures going to be a documentation of how things use to be? Is there time to change how people care about the environment and can I make a difference? This image is titled the eleventh hour, and it's how I see the growing environmental concerns of our planet. CJ.
