24.01.2022 Alex & John <3 These two had a delightful and intimate wedding on Saturday after having to postpone their winter wedding earlier this year. Even though there were still some family and friends that couldn't attend; Alex and John did everything they could to include those who couldn't make it on the day. They setup live streams, called the family on numerous occasions and played videos of well wishes from those that couldn't make it. All day long their phones lit up with messa...ges from family and friends as they were able to take part in their day from afar. It felt incredibly connected; doubly so with the energy and warmth from everyone who could make it along to celebrate with them in person. I feel very privileged to be entrusted to document wedding days like this; even more so as the photos will be relished and enjoyed by those who have not been able to attend. https://www.jackchauvel.com

22.01.2022 And we are home <3 It's been a bit quiet on here as last week we went on a little road trip in country NSW to capture a couple of wonderful family shoots (one in Scone and one in Newcastle) as well as an elopement in the Hunter Valley. Rose and I squeezed in a couple of days of camping in the middle at the beautiful Woko National Park. Here is a photo from our campsite under the stars.... 07.01.2022 Jessica & Spencer <3 On the first day of summer we met up by the harbour for their engagement shoot. Forecast was dicey but looking like the summer storm that was due would arrive after sunset. About an hour into our shoot the clouds rolled in as did the heavy rain. We shot amongst it before retreating to cover where we chatted about their upcoming wedding plans and how fun 2020 has been. The rain eased after some time and we took the gamble of jumping out again before the ...storm finished. Fortune favours the brave as we lucked out with some amazing light. 05.01.2022 Farewell 2020 Thank you for all of the wonderful birthday messages and well wishes in the past couple of days. 35 and feeling fine! I find as I get older I am always a lot more reflective as the calendar ticks over and the mind wanders back to the days that were. What a tumultuous year, but even amongst it all there were many beautiful moments to witness and capture. Feeling lucky that I am still here to do what I love to do and am looking forward to a 2021 being a year tha...t is kinder to us all. Thank you for the amazing support as always.
