18.01.2022 Back in 1908, a young bloke by the name of Fred Murray established his own photography studio in Gympie and called it Murray Studios. There, he photographed wedding & child portraits and also processed film from amateurs. Why am I sharing this with you? This man was my great-great-great uncle. I, obviously, never got the chance to meet him (I’m not that old! ) but I wish I had a time machine so I could. I think it’s pretty amazing that all of these years later, I’m following... in his footsteps and photographing portraits & weddings and also editing images! The first photo is of Fred taken somewhere around the late 1930’s. The second is also Fred, taken around 1908/1909. The place where he’s sitting is his studio and you can see the beginnings of the permanent studio in the background. It’s said that the new studio had a sloping glass wall that allowed plenty of natural light in. Also, can you see the cat posing nicely alongside him?

18.01.2022 When Jess asked me if they could bring their dog, Louie, to their maternity session the answer was a resounding YES! Dogs are totally part of the family and I think it’s the sweetest thing that Louie is included in these precious photos Jess & Aidan will treasure forever

15.01.2022 38 WEEKS! Goodness me, time has flown and it’s almost time for this baby to show it’s beautiful face. I’m still having a hard time believing that I’m about to be a mum to two kiddos. So, what do you think? Are you Team Boy or Team Girl ?

11.01.2022 SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT With all of the weirdness currently surrounding us I thought it was time I shared some good news. As of today, I am officially 20 weeks pregnant! #halfwaythere... Bub is due at the end of August & we’re waiting till then to see if it’s a boy or a girl - the best surprise of all. This baby is already so loved and our daughter is getting more excited as my tummy expands and often asks if I’ve had the baby yet when she wakes in the morning. So, here we go, into the next half of pregnancy. 09.01.2022 I do so love it when things just click. The colour palette for Sidney & Kimberley’s wedding invitations & RSVP’s was pink and grey. The gorgeous flowers on the design were from my ever-growing collection and matched the theme perfectly. For a little extra flair, I added a rose gold texture to some of the text just to make it really pop and match in with the florals.

01.01.2022 Everyone loves a good Before & After Image Restoration is one of my favourite services on offer. There's something special about bringing life back into a precious image from a time long gone. This image presented as a bit of a challenge as the original print was a very large oval and wouldn't fit on my scanner. So, I had to scan the photo into my computer in four parts and merge all four parts together before I could begin the restoration process.... It's all worth it to see the final product!
