20.01.2022 With the new restrictions easing in Melbourne, NOIR Darkroom will reopen PSC's Master of Arts Photography student Anjella Roessler's exhibition 'Without Consent’ to the public from Friday 13 - Sunday 15 November. Congratulations Anjella on your exceptional work we know this has been a closely personal and cathartic journey for you.... "Without Consent began with a strong need to create images about trauma to which I had a personal connection. Furthermore, to tell a story and find a link with others who have travelled a similar path in their own history, not as an outsider but as a living witness. The project has helped me come to the realisation that I needed to confront and come to terms with my own experience as a rape survivor," Anjella says. The exhibition closes this Sunday 15 November. Opening Times: 12pm-6pm NOIR Darkroom 57 Moreland Road, Coburg Angela Roessler

14.01.2022 During Melbourne's lockdown, one of PSC's Bachelor of Photography teachers Stephanie Rose Wood, introduced her second year students to an innovative app that allowed them to shoot subjects anywhere in the world from the safety of their own homes and brand new methods of photojournalism. The students had to go in prepared to communicate really clearly with their subjects and that spoke to ethical implications that are embedded in photojournalism and how we can embrace new t...echnology and new approaches to documentary storytelling, Stephanie said referring to the 'Visual Documents' class she teaches at PSC. Over the next few days and weeks we will share work by a few of her students, some of whose assignments have been published in Medium. For this post we are sharing work by Stephanie. Stephanie is a Melbourne-based documentary and portrait photographer. She regularly shoots for Australian publications including Frankie Magazine, Smith Journal, Archer Magazine and SPACES.
