23.01.2022 " " This is the fourth image of the ’ photo project. I guess it's obvious what my favourite colour is?! It’s been a while since I read a book, so when this book happened upon me unexpectedly while strolling through our local library aisles as I waited patiently for my kids to finish borrowing a tremendous amount of books each. I couldn’t help but notice this particular book sticking out of the shelf, desperately wanting to be noticed! I must ...admit the title did grab my attention, but I knew I didn’t have room for a book in my ever so busy schedule. I mean between shooting, editing, family and binge watching Game of Thrones who’s got time!! So I completely ignored it and continued walking but just as I had passed it, I somehow - being the typical klutz that I am - stumbled and tripped over my foot. So in an attempt to save myself from what would’ve been a painful and embarrassing fall, I held onto the book aisle, grabbing tightly on the shelf that this book was peaking at me from and banged my forehead on it!! After a few seconds of registering what had just occurred I realised that this was a big, loud and clear sign that I MUST read this book. So my nights are now dedicated to watching GOT and reading this delightful book that couldn’t have arrived at a better time in my life as I‘m currently in that stage were nothing and nobody irrelevant matters, I am in the no BS zone and I’m loving it. 20.01.2022 & This image is part of the ’ project #whatsyourflavour . Which is all about the flavours, colours and pastimes that we are enjoying this summer. Montana is our eccentric middle child, who always does things differently and with a bang!! She’s loud and full of zest for life, she’s my go to chick when I need help around the house, whether it’d be mowing the lawn, assembling furniture or painting the walls, she’s my right hand, reliable and st...ronger than any man I’ve ever known!! She also loves to try out different cuisines and flavours, and doesn’t mind eating chilli’s, oysters and anything else that most kids won’t dare to try. Her and I have a plan to one day go to Paris and try the French staple delicacies Escargots de Bourgogne and Cuisse de Grenouilles . 18.01.2022 " " Continuing on our ’ project #whatsyourflavour, we have our funny little man Izak who has been making the most of the summer holidays by doing all the things that us adults only wish we could do without feeling guilty in the process. Like sleeping in every morning, swimming in the pool all day till it’s dark, eating everything and anything your heart desires (no calorie counting or exercising to worry about), staying up REALLY late (becaus...e your parent is always tired and barely makes it past 9 pm)... and lots of more lazy & fun stuff that would take a whole page to list. But like all things in life, everything must come to an end and as schools will be commencing in a few days (yay!) it will be back to reality for all. 15.01.2022 Creative Unblock This image is part of a project I created, called Creative Unblock which consists of a series of three images. The idea of it came about as I’ve been stuck in a ‘creative block’ which is absolutely daunting as my mind is constantly overflowing with an abundance of creative ideas that are waiting to be born! But giving birth to these ideas and turning them into tangible work is at times the hardest part especially when life’s priorities and lack of motivati...on get in the way.
