25.01.2022 Well, we've left the Bustard Head Light Station and are in the process of moving into our apartment at Alexandra Headland. One of my aims, while we were there, was to take a photo of the lighthouse with lightning, but we didn't see one episode of forked lightning during the whole visit. I quite like the moody look of the sheet lightning though. We'll certainly miss having this gorgeous structure right outside our front door.

25.01.2022 Very excited to win Best Travel Blog of the Week with Starts at 60 about our story of how my great-great-grandmother ended up at the Benevolent Asylum at Dunwich in Queensland in the early 1900's. https://startsat60.com//digging-up-the-dirt-my-family-conn North Stradbroke Island Museum on Minjerribah

25.01.2022 While we're restricted from travelling, Geoff's been madly writing about paths already trod - or sailed! You can read his latest blog on Starts at 60 here. https://startsat60.com//authentic-australian-pub-clarence-

20.01.2022 It's so nice that the sun is rising later for us these days and we're actually getting to see it. This is the best thing about winter. #sunrise #tourismqld #alexandraheadland #sunshinecoast #starburst

17.01.2022 Plenty of local travel lately. A beautiful day exploring the bike tracks around Ewen Maddock Dam at Landsborough with our grandson Henry.

16.01.2022 One eventful day on the Plenty Highway during our recent drive to the Clare Valley via Central Australia. Chris and I took the opportunity to go for a short explore - and find a shady tree away from the road, which was just as well with the dust from the road train as it passed. The country and climate are harsh but absolutely stunning. I'd go again tomorrow - well, maybe after Christmas...

15.01.2022 Wondering what to do for Christmas if restrictions are lifted? We loved our Christmas in Austria with extended family from 3 continents - so many cultural highlights and snow experiences for our grandchildren. We'd go back at the drop of a hat - or the lifting of restrictions... 14.01.2022 We met these 2 cool characters at Childers and thought they were the perfect advertisement for the Heritage Bookshop. They look like they'd have a few stories in them.

09.01.2022 Thanks Starts at 60 for publishing our recent blog. Our visit to Venice Beach happened only because of Hurricane Florence's visit to the US. https://startsat60.com//every-cloud-has-a-silver-lining-hu Great White

09.01.2022 How I wish I understood kangaroo language. This joey and her mum at least have the good sense to stay out of the heat of the day. Me....no, not so much as you can see. Blokes work in any weather I said. I'll be right I said. Then I got heat stroke, suffered vertigo and vomited for 12 hours. It took 2.5 days to recover lying on my back The most sick I have ever been and totally self inflicted. Now I listen to the kangaroos. If they are in the shade then so am I. Would really have helped if they had just told me ...perhaps they did but I didn't understand. Geoff

06.01.2022 Thanks again to Starts at 60 for publishing our latest blog about Geoff's unforgettable visit to the temple of Borobudur in Indonesia. https://www.photoprosecreative.com.au//The-mystical-temple

03.01.2022 It was quiet at the beach this morning for the first day of relaxation of Corona Virus Lockdown. We expected crowds - maybe they're still on their way...
