19.01.2022 A restoration of a damaged 1940s portrait for a customer. We were able to repair the torn photo back to its former glory and print and frame it for them, in a 1940s style gold frame.

If you have any original artwork or old frames requiring heritage conservation we highly recommend her work. Daniela has a wonderful passion for art restoration and an amazing eye for detail and we have examples of her work in our shop in the Cominos Arcade.

16.01.2022 We have over 150 original pages from the 1888 Picturesque Atlas Of Australasia on display at the shop and we have decided to sell them at $10 a page. The large 18x14" (4636cm) feature original printed lithographs and maps of Australia's iconic locations in all States as well as Papua New Guinea and New Zealand. 10.01.2022 LULU singing the wonderful TO SIR WITH LOVE live in 1967. I've upscaled and colourised the original black and white film. Written by Don Black and Mark London, ...TO SIR WITH LOVE was the theme from James Clavell's 1967 film 'To Sir, with Love'. It was produced by Mickie Most, and John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin fame was the musical director. The song reached No. 1 in the United States record charts, and it became the bestselling song of 1967 in the US. Initially recorded by Lulu accompanied by the Mindbenders, who also acted in the film, she actually began with a small role in the movie, but Clavell was so impressed with her that he expanded her role and had her sing the theme. The film starred Sidney Poitier (who turned 93 this year) as a high school teacher who had a big impact on his unruly students. Lulu played one of his students, and sang this song to him at the end of the film as the students showed their appreciation for the teacher. ----------------------------------------- Hello, and a warm welcome to everyone who has joined COLOURING THE PAST. 07.01.2022 A recent restoration of a flood and fire damaged photo, featuring a customers loved friend called Bruno. The glass had stuck to the photo but we managed to restore the image and provide a 12 8" framed photo for our happy client.
