25.01.2022 You've booked a shoot with me, now what? You've seen my images, you love what you see and you want to book with me - what do you do? You can either DM me or you can email me (link in bio) and let me know your e-mail address and I'll send you a quote. Once you've picked the package that suits you best, you'll automatically be sent an invoice which will require 25% deposit on booking and 75% seven days prior to the shoot. Also you will have a questionnaire to fill out which wil...l give me a look into the style you like and the people who will be coming to the shoot. I'll also have a contract for you to e-sign which covers you and me. Once all this is done, your booking is confirmed!! and you can start getting excited about the magic we will be creating!! This is the beautiful family who bought my donated photoshoot from auction from @birthdaysfromtheheart

24.01.2022 How I start my day - I love walking in the mornings. The morning is when I'm so close to sleep still, I can't think straight and I am just propelled to the park before I've had time to talk myself out of it. And when I'm there, I love it - I take Pipi and he loves it and I run, and I walk, listen to music or listen to nature and feel ready to take on the day, whatever it may bring. These beautiful images are of muse @the_antonia_unger at the kombi workshop with @belle_verdiglione on the weekend

24.01.2022 Ok so you've booked your session, now what - what will you wear, what will your partner/kids wear, will everyone behave themselves on the day ;-) these are all completely normal thoughts. The best thing to do is make the booking and turn up, I'll take care of the rest. It's your job to be relaxed and enjoy yourself and it's my job to capture those natural moments.Kids can act up, that's normal - but we have time and they settle and I get quick flashes of time where I can get a golden picture of your babe how you intended. Each family is different, let the kids run around, let them have a tantrum, let them cuddle, it will be completely fine.I'll get the shot in between these moments.Having four kids of my own, I know how to capture the moment you want

23.01.2022 This night was super windy but we took cover in the dunes, among the sea grass and created magic. Beautiful Sage

23.01.2022 Boxing Day has been as chilled as it’s supposed to be. Memories of Christmas Day, filled fridge of left overs and eating random food items for breakfast. My nap this afternoon topped it off - bliss. What did you get up to today? I did a photo shoot with this family for a Christmas present - seven cousins

23.01.2022 2021 is going to be massive for me! My youngest is going into care three days instead of two days a week which is going to give me more time to dedicate to doing what I love, expanding my photography business. I can't wait to take on more work and I have some ideas about doing a pop up studio for mother and me sessions in time for Mother’s Day. I also have the intention to launch my Admin Tog workshop, so stay tuned! These images were taken on Sunday night at @belle_verdiglione Kombi Shoot 2.0. So much fun and I loved connecting with like-minded humans - and this baby Amadea was just a ray of sunshine

23.01.2022 I love feedback and I love a happy customer

23.01.2022 My dream shoot would have to be at a Chateau in the South of France. I love watching 'Escape to the Chateau' and dreaming of being there, taking photos of the beautiful weddings they hold there. There is so much history and so much mystery in those old castles and so much to explore. So many secrets and hidden stories - it's on my bucket list to travel there one day and hire a car and explore for weeks. If you could shoot anywhere, where would you go?

23.01.2022 Thanks so much for all the love I got after my story last night - putting myself out there and showing you what I get up to in a day (if you missed it it's in my highlight under About Me).I had so much fun creating it and it was only the second time I've used iMovie so I still have lots to learn but I'm happy to do a quick tutorial to show you how it's done. It's heaps of fun! These photos are of my step-daughters, I love how these images portray their personality so well, love them

23.01.2022 It’s becoming slip slop slap weather already! In love with these warm days

22.01.2022 Sheet Shoot challenge, if you didn’t catch it - I saved the info under a highlight. The idea is you grab a sheet, any sheet, and hang it on your line, grab a little stool, or just sit on the ground and take some pics of your little ones, or big ones - whoever. This is perfect for when you want to take some pics, you don’t want to wait until golden hour and/or you haven’t got the backdrop you’re looking for. It’s so effective and super simple. Here’s Reuben, this little shoot took just a few minutes and came out beautifully, I’m super happy with it.If you get a chance to do this - tag me, I can’t wait to see what you create!

22.01.2022 Earlier this week I did a quick photoshoot in my office, just using a black tablecloth thrown over my chair and stuck on the wall with some clips and blu-tack. I closed the curtains, leaving just one side of the curtain open enough to let some natural light in. Bumped up my ISO to 1600 and kept my shutter speed at the minimum for my focal length (I use a 35mm lens so I kept my shutter speed at 1/30) to prevent motion blur. This is the result. I love the shadows and the texture in these images and even though iso was high, I fixed this post edit with sharpening and taking out the grain. Reuben forever my muse and letting me try new things

21.01.2022 Bookings are filling up for this year and into January so if you’re interested in the last couple of spots in December please get in touch straight away to ensure you get a spot. When you want to book with me, send me a DM with your email address and I’ll take it from there, I’ll send you a quote and a questionnaire and booking information

20.01.2022 These two stole my heart - watching them from behind the lens was a privilege and thank you Jess for being so present and sharing your gorgeous family with me. I loved editing your photos and getting to relive some special moments. The connection between a mother and her child is something to witness and photography allows you to remember this point in time forever. For your children’s children. We are always taking photos of our children and I love to capture you with your children. It’s time to get in the photo. Your kids want you to, they will look back on this moment with love. You’re never more beautiful than you are today

20.01.2022 It’s crazy how much love you can have for a person you have never met

19.01.2022 Spending time creating my content for December. Need some ideas? I have some for you in Tip Tuesday tomorrow how beautiful is this Mumma - under a full moon perfect

19.01.2022 Kind words light me up they reaffirm my love for what I do thank you

18.01.2022 Client Wardrobe alert! I am absolutely thrilled to announce that I have teamed up with the lovely Elisha at @cocomama.hirecollective to bring you the client wardrobe of your dreams. These dresses bring every shoot alive with those romantic boho vibes. I’ve created a guide which showcases these beautiful pieces (see stories) and I will now be adding them to all my photoshoot quotes as an added extra. Images captured by the beautiful @wildinthewillows.photography and edited by me.

18.01.2022 Half the time when brothers wrestle, it’s just an excuse to hug each other ~ James Patterson

18.01.2022 Connectedness. Being a photographer can be a lonely art but Instagram has made being connected so much easier than it has ever before. I have made so many connections on this platform and I'm blown away at how real it is. I have photographer friends I can bounce ideas off, they can bounce ideas with me and we get stuff done together! I really appreciate every message I receive and love that you reach out to me for advice or just to chat about your day. Instagram is my office and this platform is the water cooler. Earlier this week I had the pleasure of taking photos for this beautiful soul. We had so much fun, and it fills my cup to work with such incredible people. Thank you @turquoise.and.stardust

17.01.2022 It's true, it was my neatest hand writing. The first day of school feels are alive and well today, literally a brand new page. I am going to make every day of 2021, and beyond, a day set with intention to create the day of my highest hopes and dreams. The day may not always end the way I envisioned, but I know for sure it's the best version I could make it, with the tools that I have.

17.01.2022 How do I get photos of little ones when they are so quick!! The trick is, you've got to be equally quick. In my shoots I love doing photoshoots of children in nature because they feel so at home in nature and it shows in the photos. They start picking up shells or sticks or anything that they find and I can move around them capturing those moments of awe. I adore taking photos of children, they are unabashed and in the moment and this shines through in the images I take. This beautiful family were part of my Christmas Mini’s last weekend. I can’t wait to do Mini’s again!!

16.01.2022 Shoot day is approaching, have you thought about what dress you're wearing, what your partner will wear, your children? I love neutral colours, they photograph so well - thinking earthy tones. On the day, make sure your little ones get a nap in if they still nap, they have full bellies before the shoot and know that the shoot is coming up - what to expect. From my experience, all children have welcomed this with welcome arms! Turn up and let me take care of the rest!

16.01.2022 So what do we get up to on a shoot together? A shoot with me is like catching up with a friend, we'll chat and I'll put you at ease and before you know it - everyone is having fun, you don't even know you're having your photo taken and next minute the session is over and the kids are asking when we are doing it again - and hubby says 'hey that was pretty fun!'. Link in bio for information on my sessions - or send me a DM with your email address and I'll send you through a quote with options today.

15.01.2022 Presets are a godsend when it comes to editing. Finding a preset that you love can take time, and it is worth the investment of time to find the right fit for you. I came across @smalpresets and fell in love with the warm and rich colours it brings out. Most of my images are with Smal. I have tweaked the preset to make it more suited to my style and then saved the preset with my updates. Some shoots I like to use my @loveherwildpresets and these suit some beach settings wit...h the sun very low in the sky. Each shoot is so individual so I like to tailor to what I feel suits it best and brings out the image perfectly. I’d love to know, what are some of your favourite presets? This beautiful family @hudmama__

14.01.2022 So you've had your shoot with me, now what! I work fast, let me tell you that. Ask everyone who has worked with me. I know how keen you are to see the beauty created, and I am equally excited to share that with you. I most often turn my galleries around within 24 hours. I give myself five days to cover things that crop up but honestly, you won't be waiting that long. I then send you a gallery via. PicTime, a beautiful gallery where you can download your high res images. You can share this gallery with loved ones. You receive all your images from me, they are all yours. I won't ask you to upgrade your gallery. I also always over deliver because I just can't help myself!

13.01.2022 Little about me: I'm a step-mum. I met my gorgeous step-daughters when they were five and seven, they're now 20 and 22! I have no idea how that happened, but time really does fly. I remember how they embraced me into their lives as though I was meant to be there and I took the role with love and purpose. We spent years together before their brothers came along and sometimes when we get to hang out together again, it reminds me what it was like when they were little. We spent so much time together just the three of us. Now we have the two little boys and do they love their big sisters or what! Their eyes light up at the mere mention of them. The best four kids I could have ever hoped for. Beautiful images of my gorgeous friend and her beautiful daughters @sewing_nic

13.01.2022 Relax and engage! When I'm on my way to a shoot I am obsessively thinking about the who is coming to the shoot, the location, the images we are going to take, the weather, the poses - all this goes through my head and I realise this is so important. I'm creating the space to make the magic happen. I'm imagining and creating how the shoot will go and I'm putting positivity into it. I like to arrive early, check my location and a mini meditation to get me grounded and present and ready for my clients. This ritual works for me. What's your ritual?

13.01.2022 This year I took the leap into making my hobby into a business and I couldn't be more proud of how far I have come. I took to this with the same gusto I bring to everything I care about in my life - so I shouldn't be surprised with the growth I've had but still - I am. I have been vulnerable sharing my images, especially of myself - and yet I've still done it and the response has blown me away. I never expected to get so much support from you and I just want to say - thank you. I can't wait to bring you more of what I love.

13.01.2022 I have a bizzare love of washing . I love collecting dirty clothes. I love putting them in the washing machine. I love pouring the liquid into the machine. I love the touch button beeps as I set the wash. I love the sound of the machine washing the clothes methodically. I love the end cycle beeps. I don't love the hanging out so much, but I do love bringing in the clothes and folding them straight away and putting them into the drawers - it's deeply satisfying. Whose with me

13.01.2022 After you have a session with me you won't have to wait long to receive your images via an online gallery. I don't waste time getting your gallery to you because I know you're eager to see, and I have so much fun editing and curating the images that you are going to love. This gallery is also a one stop shop, it has a printing shop attached, you can select your images - or get my help - and have your photos made up into a book, framed, a calendar - and sent direct to you. It's that easy! Link in my bio to see a mock up gallery. This beautiful Mumma and her bub - this was taken at the Swan River after a 42 degree day, perfect

12.01.2022 I love to chat, when I’m in a photoshoot I love to make connections and find out more about the people I’m there with. With kids it’s so easy, who’s your friend at school, what’s your favourite game to play, do you like sport? This just helps so much to create images that speak. Soulful images I love these photos - you can see this gorgeous girl thinking about the answers and enjoying the conversation - it’s sweet and that’s what I want to capture.

12.01.2022 To my children If I had to choose between loving you and breathing I would use my last breath to tell you I love you ~ unknown

12.01.2022 One of my all time favourite quotes. Doing something without wanting anything in return and unconditional love. It’s beautiful

12.01.2022 Thrilled to have captured these two last weekend for their pregnancy announcement photos! Holly and Joe were a joy to spend time with and capture this special time in their lives - all the feels

12.01.2022 My motto for life I love to see the success of my family, friends, colleagues, peers - anyone. I’m here for it. There is no competition when you’re authentically showing up and doing the work

12.01.2022 It's time to get in front of the camera! I know you're there, always behind the lens, taking beautiful photos of your babes and loved ones, but now it's your time to get in front and I can help take the stress out of shoots. You'll finally have photos of you with your loved ones that you can put on your wall. This beautiful image was taken at Rottnest Island on our recent holiday, and when I look at this image I am instantly transported back to that magical time where we rode... bikes everywhere, had lollipops every day, walked to the cafe before opening time to get my coffee and zero sleep-in's! This weekend I'm teaming up with my friend @wildinthewillows.photography and we are both going to be shooting each other and we have been lucky enough to collaborate with @cocomama.hirecollective for the occasion! This is going to be epic! Watch this space

11.01.2022 When you do a photoshoot for your client, whether big or small - so much goes into that shoot, correspondence, signing contracts, sending invoices, questionnaires, preparing your camera, charging batteries, formatting SD cards, sourcing location, making sure you arrive on time - the list goes on - and then you’re at the shoot and you have your time together and then part ways. You then spend the next few days editing the images and reliving that time together - laughing at th...e screen at some fun moments, or a sentimental smile at an incredible image which warms your heart. Then the big moment happens, it’s time to send the gallery and a part of you knows they are going to love this gallery and be absolutely blown away and a small part of you sweats and worries that you missed the mark. This happens to me every single time because of course I feel this way when I’m giving a creative part of myself to someone else. It’s a vulnerable thing to do. That’s why when I receive kind words, or testimonials - they keep me going, light my fire and assure me I’m on the right track

11.01.2022 It took me a long time to get into photography, but it didn’t take long for me to realise how important photography is. This isn’t just a time to get dressed nicely, connection with family, memorialising a special occasion - this is making this moment in time live forever. This day, this moment will never be back again - but these images will forever be with you to look back on, to share with your family, children and their children. The legacy lasts forever - how incredible is that. What a gift Beautiful Scarlett and Sage

11.01.2022 Isn’t it cool that one day you might have little people running around your house that are half you and half the person you love ~ unknown

11.01.2022 Top five reasons to book a photoshoot with me: 1.Capture memories to last a lifetime - to pass down generations. You will never get today back, but you will always be able to look back on this moment in time. 2. It's an experience, a special event to do with your loved ones or on your own, and it's fun!I'm very laid back with my approach to shooting, I want a genuine photo, guided but not staged.... 3. Fresh images for your social media. Are you wondering what image you're going to post next?I can help with getting you lots of beautiful images, bring a change of clothes we can mix it up to give you even more content. 4. Families are always growing, changing - capture the beauty of today.Gift some photos as Christmas gifts for the grandparents. 5.You have a special occasion you want to mark forever. It could be a birthday, it could be your child's birthday, it might be a hens night and one of the activities is having a photoshoot down at the beach before you head out. I've placed my availability for the rest of 2020 in my stories.DM me to book today

11.01.2022 Getting out of auto and slide on into Manual! If you're new to photography then you might still be in auto, aperture priority or shutter priority. This is a great place to start, but this will only get you so far and you'll start to wonder why do you nail some images and others are lacking consistency. When you shoot on manual you’re in the drivers seat. You are the creative behind the wheel and you have the control. This is where the magic happens. Otherwise if you’r...e in auto you are giving up that control to your camera’s little computer to figure out the light and the subject and everything in between. You can fluke it and it works sometimes and others you’re left disappointed by the exposure. Knowing your camera’s capability and using it means you’ll get the best out of your camera and the best out of your craft and we get to see you - who is really behind that camera. The best advice I have is to learn about shooting in manual - and then shoot in manual, all the time - shoot shoot shoot and then shoot some more. Practice is the key. Do you shoot manual or auto right now?

11.01.2022 Relax and engage! When I'm on my way to a shoot I am very present and thinking about the who is coming to the shoot, the location, the images we are going to take, the weather, the poses - all this goes through my head and I realise this is so important. I'm creating the space to make the magic happen. I'm imagining and creating how the shoot will go and I'm putting positivity into it. I like to arrive early, check my location and a mini meditation to get me grounded and present and ready for my clients. This ritual works for me. What's your ritual? How cute are these brothers!! Perfection

11.01.2022 I had an awesome response to my Tip Tuesday last week, my first live IGTV. I covered how I edit my photos in Lightroom (it’s in IGTV if you want to watch it). If there is anything specific you’d like me to cover next week let me know

10.01.2022 Have you been meaning to get a photoshoot for ages but have been putting it off? I get it, we get busy, we get self-conscious, we get overthinking about it - but what if I said that's exactly why you should book your shoot now! There will never be that golden moment to capture forever - because this is your golden moment, you're living it right now - every day. So do the thing, check out the link in my bio, and book a session with me today - you will love it and be grateful it's done

10.01.2022 Siblings-the definition that comprises love, strife, competition and forever friends

10.01.2022 What's in the bag! I have a @kamrette camera bag and I love it. I now pack my Canon EOS R6 as my main camera, along with the RF35MM lens, I have a back-up body which is the Canon EOS RP. I have four batteries, two for each body. SD cards, lens cleaners and some flyers about me to hand out but I always forget I have these, yet to hand one out but the day is coming ;-) My wishlist item to go into the bag is a lens to add to my collection. It will be another prime lens because I absolutely love my 35mm. I'm thinking a 50mm. I'd love to know what your favourite lens is and why. This beautiful family @hey__neena

10.01.2022 Nearing the end of this year I am getting ready to write my goals and wishes for what I'd love to achieve in 2021. Is this something you do? Tell me one goal you have for 2021. One of mine is to create one on one time with my children once a week, to spend quality time together amongst the chaos.

10.01.2022 Starting next Tuesday I’m going to start a live IGTV each week and call it Tip Tuesday!Super daggy but it’s going to be super informative and I’ll be deliving the information you want to know. Next week I’ll kick off with how I edit my images.I can’t wait!More details closer to the time. I’m not nervous about live IGTV at all so that’s good How beautiful is this family, @the_antonia_unger brought the goods to this shoot - loved capturing these images

10.01.2022 Thank you. Thank you for following me on this journey of mine, my passion. I took up photography because I loved taking photos of my children, I expanded this passion to now include taking images of you and your children. Before every shoot and during every edit I am so grateful for you choosing to work with me. I can't wait to make more magic with you in 2021. Zach and Trey at the shoot last week. These twin boys turned it up! So beautiful xx

09.01.2022 There is something truly magical about photoshoots by the water. We are so lucky to have that in abundance around Perth. Mosman Bay is one of my favourite backdrops

09.01.2022 I am so privileged to be in this space, to be trusted to take these images of this beautiful woman in her most sacred time of her life. Thank you Jess for allowing me to share this time with you - you are a true muse

09.01.2022 I am forever behind the camera and I was determined to be in front of it - to capture moments to last forever. To feel beautiful and present. Holding my littlest babe in my arms, my little koala - my muse. Rottnest is always an incredible backdrop. How beautiful is the sunlight hitting the top of the cliffs, wow husband brought the goods with these images (I mean I set him up and yelled at him a bit but you know, he did good ) and thank you to everyone who DM’d me about my image on stories wow!

09.01.2022 The look on Sophia’s face is pure joy, I love the bond between her and her dad - and I love how I got to capture this moment to cherish forever

08.01.2022 Did someone say weekend? So excited about a shoot tomorrow night, and Nippers starting Sunday - the weather is going to be perfect for it what have you got planned??

07.01.2022 My highest value is placed on my family. I put the most time I have onto them, making sure they feel loved, cherished, supported, adored and honoured. Sometimes I am pulled in so many different directions that it doesn't always come easy but my intention is always for them to know that they are loved, they are important - and I'm always here for them. Always.

07.01.2022 I battled Goliath. When I decided I wanted to have kids, I was about 12. I loved every baby I came across and couldn’t wait for the day I would get to have my own. The road was not easy for me. When I met my husband he already had two children from a previous marriage and I raised those beautiful girls like my own. Although being their other mum filled my maternal bucket so well, I still longed for my own babies to hold in my arms.... My first battle was convincing my husband to have more children, he already had two beautiful children. This battle was the first hurdle and I actually left my husband, and put my name down for a donor dad. I wasn’t messing around - I was going to be a biological mum no matter what it took. I paid my deposit and waited in line. Three months later my husband convinced me to come back (because he couldn’t live without me and I’m amazing ;-) and he was now ready to have more children, with me. Now I was ready for my next battle. Fertility. I was pregnant on my wedding day, but already it was a missed miscarriage - that would become apparent a few weeks later. I lost that baby just days before my 12 week scan, my world fell apart. Three years we kept trying but nothing. When I walked through the fertility specialist doors I breathed out years of stress, years of chinese medicine, acupuncture, ovulation kit tests, ferning, obsessing every day - finally, I had people to help me get closer to my dream. My first cycle was a fail and I was terrified this was going to be my life. But I took to this like I take to everything, with determination. I researched the best clinic, I researched the best type of IVF for me and I went back to battle and it was a success (I know I’m one of the lucky ones, I know - I don’t take this for granted). I was pregnant with my first son, Wiremu. I had three extra embryos put on ice for later and then, four years later we transferred one of our frozen embryos and this was Reuben. Our twins, created on the same dish, five years apart. Just because I battled so hard to have these two incredible sons... con’t in comments...

07.01.2022 Congratulations on this beauty introducing her new son into the world - he is perfection

07.01.2022 4:30am, thump thump down the bunk bed ladder at a speed greater than lightning, I'll be worried he breaks a leg. He'll wake up his younger brother and they'll run through the house trying to be quiet but not succeeding. They'll whisper excitedly about the gifts santa brought and what time can they wake mum and dad? Not yet my sons, not yet. Let the sun come up first. Christmas morning is the most magical time for children and I love bearing witness to it - it lights me up almost as much as it lights them up. Like I hate the early morning wake up but wouldn't have it any other way

06.01.2022 Is there competition between photographers?I don’t believe so.I believe each photographers brings their own individual style and presence to their images. Each photo, each edited image is a culmination of their own individual experiences in life to this point. Each image is as individual as a personality - as long as you stay authentic to you, trust in your ability and shoot what you love, the way you love it - not the way someone else shoots.Your work will only ever be amazing if you shoot the way you love because it will have your heart and soul in that image and it shows, you can’t copy that genuine connection to an image.Stay in your lane and enjoy the ride.Self portrait of yours truly Claire

06.01.2022 Wiremu would like to stay here for a month, I’d like to stay longer but sadly we leave on Friday. Life is much slower on Rottnest than anywhere I know - which is what makes it so magical. Everywhere I look this is the perfect location for a shoot - and here at the pink lake with the Wadjemup lighthouse in the distance, I fell in love with this scene. The boys were in a hilarious mood Thank you to everyone for the love on my photos yesterday - I’m blown away with your response

06.01.2022 Whenever I ask my husband to do a photoshoot for me I get the standard eye roll - and I get it, we don’t always feel like jumping in front of the camera but I am a firm believer that you won’t regret the photos that were taken, you’ll regret the ones you didn’t take. We can never get this time back and photos are the way back in time. When the kids are grown, they want to see these photos, this bond, this love. This particular shoot was taken by the washing line with a sheet as my backdrop and I got 42 useable photos in under six minutes - my husband was happy, I was happy

05.01.2022 Connection. I was thinking the other day, what is the feature I love in my photos, when I sit down at my computer and upload images from a shoot, which is the image that gives me all the feels - and it's always the same one, the image with eye contact. I love the images where everyone is busy and one person connects, and bam - a connection. It's powerful, it's soulful - it's beautiful.

04.01.2022 The power of a hug, they fix tears, they allay anxiety, they help with sadness and when you're feeling hurt, they help to make you feel connected and they make you feel held. They're also really great for children!! I hope you get lots of cuddles today

04.01.2022 When I was asked if I would travel to Toodyay to do an extended family photoshoot - I literally jumped at the chance. I mean I pretty much put my hand up for everything but you bet I was coming to do a country shoot! This day did not disappoint. The weather was so hot and there was a total fire ban - there was talk of postponing but both Kell who was organising the shoot, and I both believed why not - we might get another hot day even if we reschedule, you just don’t know.... I travelled down late afternoon, and went past El Caballo Blanco! Does anyone remember that place? All I remember of my childhood is they had horse shows. I felt like I stepped back in time. The rolling fields, the hills fast approaching, I had the Hamish and Andy podcast playing and I was loving this time on my own to chill. I arrived at the gate of the farm and I got out, unchained the gate and drove through, chained the gate up again - feeling like a city girl in the country but at least could manage the gate. I drove past massive harvesters and sheds and was in awe of this beautiful farm. Arrived at their lovely home and was greeted so warmly. There were twelve people, and they were celebrating mum and dad’s 50th wedding anniversary. There are the two sons, their wives and their children (six girls in total). We made it to the shoot location on the farm, with granite rocks and fields dreams are made of, and the hills in the background, wow. The silence. I said to Kell after the shoot, you would not believe the amount of photographers who would jump at the chance to capture images here, it’s an incredible backdrop - she said ‘Claire - you’re welcome here anytime to do photoshoot’s, just let me know before you come’. Wow, hospitality like that isn’t seen everyday and I appreciate it so so very much. Here are some images of her beautiful family on this stinking hot day. Enjoy.

04.01.2022 One of my core reasons for being a photographer is because I believe in creating memories to last forever.I know the value of this because I grew up in a time when taking photos was a process of snapping away, hoping for the best, sending the film in to be processed sometimes months later and see what came back - sometimes they were great photos, sometimes they weren’t.Now we have the ability to capture amazing moments every single day with our phones or camera’s and change the way it looks there and then. Now I want to capture a moment in time which is going to bring you joy in the years to come, when the memory of that moment has long gone but everything comes rushing back with just one glance at the photo.A legacy to be passed down generations, to tell a story.

04.01.2022 The time in your life when you’re growing the best present you could ever hope for in your life, all your hopes and dreams bundled in this little being and when you finally meet, after counting down all the months, weeks and hours - you say of course it was you, it was always you. They look so familiar and yet so different from what you imagined- that was how it was for me anyway. And then you get to know each other and it’s the most incredible relationship in history.

03.01.2022 The first camera I picked up was a film camera, you know the ones that needed to be taken in to a camera house and developed. You shot the pictures, hoped for the best and then laughed and cried when looking through the images you got back. It was like going on adventure when you received your photos back. Technology has changed so much since then, and my love of photography is stronger than ever, and even though I shoot digital, it's still such an adventure. I am in the mo...ment when I'm shooting images and when I load that SD card onto my computer - I get that same buzz I got when I received my images in a flimsy wallet (except now I can improve images after I've taken them!). Look at what I made! Look at the moment I snapped to keep forever. When I started this business in 2020, I did it because I love photography - but I kept doing it because I love people. See more

03.01.2022 My first wedding and I couldn’t be happier with my clients, Chevelle and Reece. Genuinely the sweetest pair, kind in every way. They are going to make amazing parents to their sweet baby. This was my first large scale photoshoot of any kind and I was so impressed with how Chevelle and Reece trusted me to do this for them. They loved my relaxed style after seeing my Instagram posts and decided to hire me for their beautiful surprise wedding. I’m so glad they did! Whenever I’m... doing something new in a photoshoot I do some research on @unraveledacademy and this time I completed the wedding course by Lauren at @loveherwildphotography and it gave me so much inspiration and reassurance that I could do this. I felt so prepared after watching her education and Lauren, I love your vibe so much. Thank you for sharing your incredible talent. So here’s to more weddings!

03.01.2022 Family time in Rottnest is just as I’d hoped it would be. Lots of riding, lots of swimming and snorkelling and lots of quokkas! They are seriously cute Getting ready to do a shoot tonight. I’m handing the camera to hubby so he can take some photos of me with the boys for a change - watch this space! The beautiful Jess with her equally beautiful daughter @storieswithsoulphotography

02.01.2022 This year I started my photography business because I get an absolute buzz out of capturing images in the moment, authentic connections to be seen and remembered forever. I’m so passionate about this beautiful art and can’t wait to see what more I create. I love this online community, Instagram, it has been a source of connection and camaraderie for me. I can’t wait to share with you what’s coming for 2021!!!

01.01.2022 Rule of thirds, this is when you have your subject lined up in your image along one of the third lines. Imagine your image has two vertical lines and two horizontal lines evenly spaced. Your subject, your person is sitting along one of the points where the lines meet, this draws you into the image and feels comfortable to look at. I use rule of thirds for most of my photography and I love the way the photo makes me feel because of it. In these photos of the gorgeous Fadz, I have placed her face on the points of the points on the lines that meet. Instagram allows you to do this when you pinch and expand your photos when creating a post so you can easily do this too.
