20.01.2022 The Easement House used imported high quality European windows made by Piva Group in Italy. The aesthetically pleasing black frames are thermally broken alumini...um. The windows have a U-value from 1.6 to 2.2 and use a European tilt & turn mechanism providing both ventilation and ease of access for cleaning, whilst the glass sliding doors use a simple yet effective lift & slide mechanism. These formats provide far higher levels of air sealing than possible when using traditional awnings or casement windows. 18.01.2022 #PnarGültekin I wanted to learn more about the reason why everyone was doing the selfies about empowered women. Why all of a sudden? I have found out and I... think the reason has been lost. Last week the body or Pinar Gilekn in Turkey was found after being strangled, then burned and dumped by her ex-boyfriend. This is not uncommon in Turkey and thousands of woman are protesting in Istanbul. 474 woman were murdered in last year in Turkey which is a rise of 200% since 2013. It works out to be one a day in Turkey that are murdered. Each day 38 woman report violence against them. An app called KADES created by the government to help these woman report this abuse recorded 30, 600 incidents in the past two years. The Turkish government, which is accused of not doing enough to protect victims and not having a strong enough legal deterrent, with many domestic violence offenders getting off with light sentences. So I think the next time we see movements and hashtags we need to always look where they came from so the real reason isn’t lost and those who need to be heard are. The reason behind the black and white selfie is because Turkish people wake up every day to see another photo of a woman who has been murdered. I’m not posting a photo of myself, instead a photo of the beautiful Pinar, her beautiful life cruelly cut short by an egotistical monster who couldn’t accept her rejection. #saynotoviolenceagainstwomen #enforcetheIstanbultreaty
