10.01.2022 I'm so excited to officially announce that my latest online course is now available! Adobe Bridge is a free tool that runs on Windows and Apple computers alike. As you know, working with your photos in your Finder or File Explorer is not very much fun. It's clunky and inefficient. However, this awesome piece of software by Adobe helps to be much more efficient and effective when working with photos. For one, it is a browser that simply shows you the photos ...you have on your drive. Anything you then do in Bridge, like adding keywords, ratings, renaming etc., is automatically embedded in your files. You don't even need to press 'save'! It's a great tool that lets you be completely independent from any software or operating system and you can do everything you need to curate your photos like a pro. Hop over to www.photosinorder.teachable.com (link also in the profile) and check it out. The course is pre-recorded, completely self-paced and only takes about an hour all up. You get live-long access and can always go back to the various modules. 07.01.2022 There was quite a big influx of new followers recently and I thought it's time to say hello and welcome! Here is a bit of my personal background: 13 years ago, our little family relocated from Switzerland to a beautiful, but bushfire prone, area near Melbourne in Australia for work. Being such a long way away from home and missing family and friends plus witnessing a catastrophic bushfire in 2009 I became really aware of the importance o...f photos and it triggered my interest. When I found out that photo organising is a thing, there was no stopping! I did some training and specialised in this niche (I was a residential organiser before). The best is being able to help others to get their photos back into their lives. It's such a privilege and honour to be trusted with these precious memories and to 'fix the mess' and to help safeguard them. I'm also constantly working on my own collection and it was just awesome to go back home a few years ago to organise and scan my mum’s printed photo collection. My mum shared stories I had never heard before and, while we have always been close, sharing these photos and stories connected us even more deeply. It's such a wonderful experience. This is what I want for my clients. I want them to no longer be overwhelmed but to experience this joy, to be able to display and love their photos and deepen connections and overcome distance. Rather than removing them from the frames and risking damage, scan or have them scanned through the glass.
