16.01.2022 14.5 Weeks Out Update 2.0 Despite the unknown of how the Stage 4 Covid Lockdown will be affecting @icn_victoria Shows, I am still and have been very much in the trenches digging for that Diamond physique Due to the new Melbourne restrictions, my first show for Season B is now looking like late November as I personally don’t think the October VICS Show will run as scheduled. As a result we’ve gone from 8.5 weeks out to 14.5 weeks out but however long they get pushed back i...s irrelevant to me, as the timeline is simply out of my hands! Instead I continue to focus on the variables that I do have control over (Training Intensity, Nutritional Adherence, Recovery and most importantly, what & who I listen & expose myself too). (I refuse to surround myself or tolerate Negativity) As far as I’m concerned it’s business as usual and the current events only intensifies the mental grit & fortitude required to be elite in this sport of Bodybuilding that I love so much! 14.01.2022 After 40 Long weeks of Contest Prep, Yesterday I Finally got to jump on stage and compete at the @icnvic @icn_sa Australian Titles in S.A & was fortunate enough to win my 3rd PRO FItness AUSTRALIAN TITLE as well as competing for the first time in Open Class Physique & placing 1st to Win my PRO Card as a Physique athlete This was huge goal I put in motion at the end of 2018 and was my number 1 goal for this contest prep. To tick that box yesterday after the year we’ve had... is one of my biggest / proudest competition moments to date Yesterday’s result would not have been possible without the support of some extremely instrumental people. Firstly to my good friend @brandonkempter thankyou for overseeing my prep and ensuring I produced my best ever stage appearance, your constant support and ATD, especially in the final couple of weeks was crucial to yielding yesterday’s result @cwmakeupartist for my awesome base coat tan & putting together a comp day touch up kitBest in the Business& @maddisonmarymua for my final coat yesterday morning @vicstar_11posingcoach for all your guidance and final touches to my posing, you have ALWAYS gone above and beyond for me from Day 1 to ensure I present my physique in the most aesthetic way, grateful to have you in my corner & for the constant support over the years Lastly but MOST importantly, to my beautiful Queen @jrya01 you are & always have been my biggest support. You’ve ALWAYS believed in me & my goals / dreams whether it’s Competing or Business! Everything we’ve been able to achieve over the years wouldn’t have come to fruition without your unrelenting Love & Belief in me. This year dealt some tough blows at times but despite everything you ALWAYS had my back It is and always has been You & Me vs the World & I thank god every day that we get to tackle life together This preparation was by far the longest and most mentally taxing I have ever endured thanks to the Virus that shall Not be named lol. None the less, it taught me so much about mental Fortitude, Resilience and most importantly Gratitude! I am more motivated than ever to get stuck into my Off Season as BIG Goals have already been set



12.01.2022 Huge effort from Big @ZacAldridge who competed in his first Powerlifting Meet at @thestrengthhaven yesterday arvo. Zac performed exceptionally posting a 750kg Total which was his goal going into the meet and the highest of the day Squat - 262.5kg ... Bench - 185kg Deadlift 302.5kg As many would know Zac dipped his toe in the BodyBuilding water in his Junior years and IMO would have been up there with the best in Australia as a Bodybuilder by now had his body not have broken down on him so constantly in his early 20’s! The volume of training required to be an elite Bodybuilder simply did not line up with Zacs body! Making the switch to Powerlifting after 2 Shoulder Reco’s, a Torn Bicep off the bone and a lingering SIJ issue (that kept him from being able to train for more than a year) is no easy task and for 99.9% of people would probably deter them from ever training again! However like most elite athletes Zac is not wired that way! Watching him go about his Rehab / Entire Body Rebuild, Training and Preparation over the last 4 years has been truly inspiring to watch and a reminder that any adversity can always be overcome if you face it head on with a relentless work ethic, to do whatever it takes today, to be slightly better tomorrow! Although it’s early for Big Zac in the Powerlifting scene I’m extremely confident he will Total 800kg at his next Meet (end of the year) and will be one of, if not the Best NATURAL Powerlifters in the country within the next 2-3 years! Your mindset will always determine the outcome with whatever you pursue in life. If you want something bad enough, plan for it, visualize it and be relentless in your pursuit to do whatever it takes go get it . . . . 03.01.2022 Understanding the basics for Fat Loss Unfortunately these days there are so many fad diets & people claiming they have the SECRET to fat loss. For those new to the fitness scene it can get a little confusing as to how best approach losing weight If your goal is to lose body fat, these basic fundamentals will become your tools for success:... You need to place your body in a caloric deficit (Burn more calories than you consume) Training 3-4 Times a week will help create the required deficit Walk 10k steps a day Sleep 8+ hours a night Drink 2-3L of Water a day Consume 2-3 Serving of Vegetables a day / 14-15g of fibre per 1000 calories Consume 2g of Protein per kg of BW for Females & 2-2.5g of Protein per kg of BW for Males Embrace being physically active as a lifestyle, there is no one size fits all approach. The key is to find something that you enjoy which will in turn provide consistency and longevity. So If you enjoy lifting weights, then Lift weights, if you enjoy running, then Run, If you enjoy swimming, then Swim Getting in shape or being Healthier doesn't have to be an arduous task. If you create a consistent environment around those basic disciplines and adopt a mindset that Exercise and Nutrition is a way of life and requires balance, the process becomes a lot more enjoyable and your goals / results become a lot more sustainable . . . .
