24.01.2022 Other great news from Club presentations that were held through social media during last week, is that Ava won the Senior Club Champion award!! Congratulations to Ava in achieving this award, as I know through every PB and every Club Record, she was keen to do well in aiming for this award. Well Done Ava!!

18.01.2022 Mid-week meet tonight, with 3000m State Champs Final, in absolute perfect conditions. The new lighting is much better as well. Sasha was aiming for a medal and qualifying for the 3000m at Sydney. Sasha ran a great race (whilst fighting off a cold), began well and found a good spot and met most pre-race goals, and gained more race knowledge to improve on in her track racing. The great result included a State Silver Medal in the 3000m, and ran the race within the qualifying tim...e as well. Her time was about 10-12secs PB!! which is sensational. Sasha's training is still at the early stages for 2020, but the work that we've been working on is already showing in Sasha's sectionals. Well done Sasha proud of your efforts and result!!!

16.01.2022 This weekend is the SALAA State Champs and all the best to our group in their events!! Enjoy the weekend!! Also, new laptop charger cord has arrived, so after the State Champs weekend, I'll update everything that has fallen behind over the past week and a half. Life is 'normal' again

14.01.2022 Worth being at the track for 10 hours today at State Challenge!! All the guys did so well in their events today. Keira's 200m run today was one of the best I've seen from her. She always begins well, and ran the bend as well as she usually does but what impressed me most today was how Keira maintained good pace in the final straight. Technique was great. With all that great work, the Gold Medal achieved was well deserved!! Great work Keira!!! Keira backed it up with a Silve...r Medal result in Long Jump!!! Keira has been working so hard on improving consistency, and the hard work showed results today. Every take off hit the board Today showed how elite she is becoming at this very early stage of her athletics, from previous 16 months exposure at the higher level and she is continuing to show improvement. Today's performances were great hit outs for Sydney, as we'll keep training to clean those 1%'ers up. Keira has her final race practice next week at SALAA State Champs in the 100m before Sydney. Matilda had a great day, with two Bronze Medals!! Firstly in the 60mH, which she was showing good hurdling technique (just a little unbalanced at one hurdle), great result and has always shown good hurdle skills. Matilda then toughed it out in High Jump, where all the girls seem to find it hard, and Matilda achieved her second Bronze Medal from consistent jumping....well done!! Matilda will be back next weekend competing in 1100mW, an event that she is so good at, and with some final track work this week, she will do well next weekend To finish up today, I was so proud of both Luke and Aiden. Luke with a Gold Medal in Discus, and another Silver Medal in 200m (2secs PB!!). Luke has his 1100mW next weekend, whilst his training has been, not really happening at times - LOL!! We'll see how he goes, as he has raced consistently well this season. Aiden's first Medal competition and for U8's, it's like their State Champs. Aiden suffered a hard crash in his 2nd jump in High Jump, that hard we had to check concussion and complete incident report form!! Yet, he still tried 3rd jump, then keen to get stuck into his favourite event, Discus. Aiden did great achieving his first medal, a Silver Medal in his Discus!! Aiden continued consistent results, 4th in 200m (.40secs from 3rd place) & 4th place in 70m (only .03secs short of 3rd place). Great effort!!! Exciting week ahead, as we put final practice in place for SALAA State Champs this upcoming weekend!! I've got Keira's photo up with her medals, I'll get the other photos up in the next couple of days.

13.01.2022 Day 1 of SALAA State Champs and our group achieved some great results!! This included Club Records from Ava in 80mH, Luke in 1100mW & Matilda beating her own Club Record in the 1100mW!! There's quite a lot to write about!! Caitlin began the day with a great 1500m run, was simply just too good and was rewarded with a Gold Medal and was a 12secs PB!! Caitlin also qualified in the 200m Final. Caitlin had to work on certain things from the Heat, and from our warm up/practice, Cai...Continue reading

07.01.2022 It's already been a week since we had the final day at the SALAA - State Champs. Considering the week we've had, and the uncertainty that we continue to have, we must be so grateful that we could participate in last weekend's event!! We finished up with some more awesome results. Both Caitlin, and Sasha finished up with Silver Medals in the 800m event, and both girls continued with consistently good running. We are early in our training for the year, and the girls both perfo...rmed well in our early stages. We'll continue to build on where we're at, and that's whilst we work with the current situation we are all living through. Zara was amazing in her 800m Final. Zara backed up, and reset from her 400m run on the night before, and it was great to watch. She raced to plan perfectly, and following our plan, she was able to win (a Gold Medal) with ease. Being a State final, to win so easily says it all. Well done Zara with the track season. She has taken on some changes, and handled it like a professional!! Feels like I'm repeating myself, but depending on what happens in the uncertainty, all the best to Zara in the upcoming u15 State Hockey event in April!! Ava also had a great day. She had to re-focus straight after her Long Jump, and concentrated on some technique points from the bit of work that we did in her Shot Put. Ava also put in a lot of time, herself, in getting improvements in her Shot Put as well. Ava should her mental toughness, when it was time to put in place everything she needed to meet a Medal position, she did everything really well, well enough to achieve a PB!! and a Bronze Medal. Great work Ava, very proud of your attitude throughout the day. Other great runs from Sophie in the 200m Final, meeting a PB, and running under 29secs, which was a goal for Sophie. Sophie is coming along nicely in her athletics, something at is relatively new to her, and improving quickly, though with patience, which she handles nicely.....Well Done Soph!! Well Done to Zara in reaching the 200m Final as well as her 400m & 800m. Zara's run in the Heat was excellent, just finding the weekend's load hitting her over the final stages in the 200m Final, but great effort!! A successful weekend all round. As a group, we have achieved so many of our goals, and it isn't just from rocking up, rather it is from so much hard work, and all this is well deserved. We also learnt that we have so much to learn still, and we'll continue to improve over the next 12 months. Well done to all, and our next challenge is just working through this uncertain times. Take care to all, and we'll get through this situation, it's like a race, be patient, and prepared and you'll get through it
