16.01.2022 COVID-19 update - Business will run as per usual until further notice during this ever evolving international health concern. What are we doing to help protect staff and patients? - We are asking patients who experience COVID-19 symptoms OR have recently travelled from overseas to reschedule their appointments. - Our already diligent hygiene practices have been ramped up. Sanitizing hands, equipment and surfaces regularly etc. ... - Staff are continuously washing hands in-between patients. What can you do to help us slow the spread of the virus? - Call us to reschedule your appointment if you have symptoms of COVID-19 OR have recently returned from overseas travel - please do not come into the clinic to reschedule. - Continue to practice high levels of personal hygiene including sanitizing hands. We currently have heaps of hand sanitizer - please use on your next visit. - If you have come into contact with any person who has tested positive for COVID19 please reschedule your appointment. - If you have children and they are showing symptoms of a cold or flu please do not bring them into the clinic. These practices have been put in place to protect staff and patients as best as possible. We really do appreciate your co-operation in this matter. There are restrictions in place and increased rules and regulations that people must adhere to. ... Here’s what you need to know: - bookings are essential, the public pools allow us to book two days prior to the day and no earlier. - limits are in place within the heated pool, divided into four sections. - Carers/support workers are only allowed to enter the water if capacity allows or if they are required (hands on). Balance impaired individuals are also welcome to take part The group exercise class is self paced and caters to a wide variety of differing functionality levels The goals of the class are to:... - increase overall strength - encourage good walking patterns - improve balance - lower risk of falls - improve coordination - increase overall level of independence - improve mental health - provide opportunity for community connections The Parkinson’s group exercise class runs 11am-12pm every Thursday.
