05.01.2022 Home movement challenge time: loop a band around one foot and anchor under the other. Try and stand on one foot with the other hip flexed to 90 degrees and hold for 30 seconds. Be safe with your balance and hold on as required. This is a good test to see what your hip flexion strength is like. If you are having pain or struggle with this, it might be time for a check up. Injuries to the rotator cuff are common and increase with age. These may occur earlier in people who have jobs that require repeatedly performing overhead motions. .... Whilst there are different types of injuries, strains and tears to the supraspinatus are the most common. . Sometimes, rotator cuff tears may occur as a result of a single injury such as an impact, fall or collision. . So injuries can be caused by overuse/repetitive strain or acute/traumatic i events. . Symptoms . The pain associated with a rotator cuff injury may: * A dull ache deep in the shoulder * Disturb sleep * Make it difficult to comb your hair or reach behind your back * Be accompanied by arm weakness Do I need treatment? Yes. .
