25.01.2022 Last Monday was a difficult day for us.. As most of you know, all gyms in the country had to close for CoVID-19 and as a result, we had to shut down too. "Scramble" is the word Id like to use to describe the afternoon, after Fitness First closed its doors at 12.00. Everything had to come out of the clinic, as we were trying to secure a back-up location, so we could continue to look after our clients, for hopefully another few weeks. So there we were; boxes everywhere, medic...al supplies everywhere, arranging transport for our treatment tables and staff that were rostered off came in to help out. Its an amazing sight to see what fits in these 3 rooms and to realise how much you can hide in drawers and cupboards! I also realised, once again, what a great team we have assembled at Physio Fitness-Castle Hill. Everybody is contributing in their own ways, with hard work, organising transport, cracking jokes and suggesting solutions for our current situation. Its the team that got me and Liz through the day and its a fantastic feeling that we dont just have employees, but team-mates and friends!! For the next few weeks, well practising from the Castle Hill Medical Centre inside Castle Mall. We are sharing one Physiotherapy room with all practitioners and doing extra after hours and weekend time slots, so please come visit us there. Its a very well-run medical centre;, there is a triage in place so no sick people can enter the premises, there is hand-sanitizer literally everywhere and we are enforcing our "No Sniffles" policy to keep our staff and other patients safe. We are hoping to stay here until further restrictions are announced, which might prevent us from working altogether, but we are certainly going to make the most of the situation here. We have expanded our services with Home Visits, Exercise Physiology in the Park and we are setting up Telehealth sessions for anyone who feels they should be kicking on with their Rehab plans, but also want to stick to their social distancing. 23.01.2022 After 3 days of work, spread out over 3 weeks, we are finally making good progress! We finished painting and laying carpet and Manu Ruke put the last bits of sweat and tears in to finish the laminate floor in the reception area. Next Wednesday well put all the desks and hanging cupboards back in there and we have ordered our new reception furniture. Hopefully we can get most of it ready at the Re-opening of the gym on Saturday 13 April!!

19.01.2022 Hi everybody! We would like to take a moment to thank you all for your tremendous support in the last 2 weeks. When we last posted, we were at our absolute lowest point and there was a lot of uncertainty as to whether we could continue treating patients at a different location or had to shut up shop completely... The stress of potentially losing our business and our fantastic staff, is something that unfortunately too many people in business have experienced lately, and it we...ighed heavy on us. However, 2 weeks on and still rolling with the punches, we are extremely grateful for the help we have received from individuals and other health related businesses. If it wasnt for people transporting or storing our entire inventory and businesses offering space to continue practising, we would have been down and out for the count and lining up for Centrelink as well. So it is with great pleasure that we can tell you that Physio Fitness Australia- Castle Hill continues to look after the health of the people of the Hills area, at the following venues.: The Castle Hill Medical Centre on L1 inside Castle Hill Mall, has opened their doors for us, extended their trading hours and offering us access for Saturday and Sunday appointments. The bulk of our Physiotherapy sessions will take place at this location. Precision Health Clinics in Baulkham Hills, at 4/35 Old Northern Rd, is only 5mins away from our old location in Castle Towers and they were extremely generous to offer us access to their Rehab gym for our Exercise Physiology services, for as long as the new situation is going to last. We want to invite you into our new digs, with the same quality and enthusiasm that we normally bring! You can still reach us on the usual website, FB page, online booking system, phone numbers and email addresses to make a booking and start feeling better again! However, we also completely understand if youre not comfortable coming to our locations because of Covid-19, but if all those long Netflix sessions are starting to break you down and the lack of exercise is turning you into a grumpy couch potato (or maybe a happy one), then we can offer you Telehealth sessions to guide you through the rough patches and give you pain relief via FaceTime, Zoom or Skype. 17.01.2022 It's been more than 7 weeks, 51 days to be exact, since we were forced to to close our clinic inside Fitness First. Yesterday I got the opportunity to access the gym again, as we're going to do some renovations before we're opening up again at some point in the near future. The clinic is currently more than half empty anyway, so why not?! A fresh new clinic for a fresh new start! I ripped out the old carpet tiles, wrestled and scrummed with the massively heavy reception desk,... thew away a load of stuff that I can't remember why I kept it and got rid of some old cupboards... Next things on the list are clearing the lot out, painting all the rooms and reception area, put new carpet in, lay some laminate and bring in some storage solutions. We'll keep you posted on our progress, it's going to look good!

10.01.2022 Our renovation has now well and truly started! Unfortunately Fitness First only allows us to work 1 day a week when the CM is in, so this will take another few weeks..! After ripping out the carpets last week, we took all the remaining stuff out this week. With the help of Manu Ruke and Jordon Sarkodee, we pulled out all the desks, stock and supplies, stationary, paperwork and treatment table and cleared everything from the walls. With some pumping music to keep the energy high, we managed to do the first 2 coats of wall paint, instantly giving the place a fresher look. Excited about our options! Karen Mathies husband Phil came in for some design work for the new reception area and to discuss the design of a potential extra room next to the current set-up. Lots of things happening! Well keep you posted!
