23.01.2022 My last day at Padbury today with mixed emotions. The team Life Balance Health Centre is absolutely amazing with a special thanks to Andrew and Catherine Riddle for their great support when I was starting my ventures this time last year. Its been a great learning curve with a lot of growth in myself. I have met some great clients, and learnt from them. I look forward to continuing and growing Physiogap services at Riverton :)

22.01.2022 https://physiogap.com.au/pelvic-floor/ "A weak pelvic floor is a common occurrence that I come across. It affects 1 in 4 in the population with many more as a lot is undetected or not reported. Pelvic floor weakness can be a cause of a range of health issues such as incontinence, vaginal pain, pelvic pain, sexual dysfunction, organ prolapse. It can also be a contributing factor in chronic back and hip pain where the weak pelvic floor does not stabilise the pelvis. Although the occurrence is more common in women, it can present in men as well. There is confusion on how to engage and train these muscles so I hope the information below will serve as a guide in correct training of the pelvic floor muscles."

18.01.2022 What Is the Best Sleeping Posture? I got asked this question at a workshop last year. I thought I would do a quick write up as I didnt get around to answering it then. My apologies for the delay in response! I hope to do more write ups so please let me know if you have a topic suggestion Waking up with pain or stiffness more in the morning is usually an indicator that your sleeping posture is not right. The best sleeping posture depends on a number of things. Your own unique standing posture, any medical issues (e.g. sleep apnoea will make it difficult to sleep on the back) and injuries will have an impact on which position to sleep in. However there is one simple rule to follow when sleeping. https://physiogap.com.au/what-is-the-best-sleeping-posture/

13.01.2022 What to know more about what Telehealth is and how it works?

13.01.2022 As another year ends, it is an opportunity to reflect on our achievements, our shortcomings, and set goals and resolutions for the next year. For some, this can be an over whelming process. There are some problems that we seem to be carrying over from year to year and it may feel like you have tried out almost everything and yet it is still there. How do I fix it?

13.01.2022 Happy new 2020!

11.01.2022 This picture is from a study comparing the muscle mass in an athelete, a sedentary man and an older triathlete. What a striking difference in muscle mass with a very clear take home message - age is not a predictor of fraility and loss of function but our lifestyle is... Wroblewski A, Amati F, Smiley M, et al. 04.01.2022 I came across this quote yesterday which really resonated with me. It reminded me of a buddhist story I read a while ago. When there is a storm only the trees that bend and go with the wind survive. There are many who may be struggling with the change in their daily routine and life. Many may be struggling with social and self isolation. If we learn to live with change, we can conquer anything!

02.01.2022 Attend the workshop this week to learn more about the core and pelvic floor - muscles which are often forgotten and left behind and yet they play a crucial role in our physical health!
