20.01.2022 INTRODUCING A NEW PHYSIOTHERAPIST TO THE MY PARKLANDS PHYSIO FAMILY. Liam Sauer; M.Phty.B.Cl.Ex.Sc. Liam is our newest addition to the team, bringing with him a background in both physiotherapy and clinical exercise physiology. His experience includes hospital settings, private practices, community... health, aged care and neurological disability rehabilitation. He received several academic awards during his time at the University of Queensland and Queensland University of Technology believing a strong knowledge base is the foundation of a good practitioner. His approach to therapy is wholistic and aims to treat each individual as a partnership involving patience and care. Particular interests in physiotherapy include: - Sporting injuries in particular surfing/swimming - Musculoskeletal injuries in particular shoulder injuries, back/neck conditions - Exercise and rehabilitation Programs for strength, motor control and balance - Neuro physiotherapy - Chronic and persistent pain conditions Liam has recently moved from Brisbane favouring the lifestyle the Sunshine Coast has to offer, his hobbies outside work Include surfing, cycling, swimming and playing guitar.

Chris is a CLINICAL EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGIST who has duel masters and duel bachelor degrees. Chris is now available for appointments but his schedule is filling up fast.... If you are not sure what Exercise Physiology is, please read below for the services they provide. Accredited Exercise Physiologists (AEPs) are university qualified allied health professionals who specialize in musculoskeletal assessment and the delivery of exercise, lifestyle and behavioural modification programs for the prevention and management of chronic diseases and musculoskeletal injuries. AEPs provide physical activity, education, self-management and behavior modification advice for clients with a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries and for clients with chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, arthritis, cancer, COPD, depression, anxiety and many others. AEPs are internationally recognized as allied health professionals and in Australia are eligible to register with Medicare, Department of Veteran Affairs and with a number of the major private health insurers. At a state level, AEPs are able to provide services under the various Workers Compensation schemes and Compulsory Third Party Insurance schemes. AEPs are committed to providing outcome focused and individualized exercise and education services to assist in the management of sub-acute and chronic musculo-skeletal injuries, degenerative conditions, chronic pain, chronic diseases and psychological disorders. We will liaise closely with your doctor and other medical or allied health professionals involved in your clinical treatment to improve your condition.
