24.01.2022 To celebrate the last weekend of STEPtember, we're sharing our favourite list of local walks. - For koala spotting, walk along the back of Lilybrook Coles in Kallangur - Lake Eden North Lakes provides a great waterside circuit - For afternoon sea breezes, drive over to Deception Bay and walk along the esplanade... - You can't go past Margate boardwalk for a walk and a seaside BBQ And if you can get across for the day or weekend, an absolute favourite is Moreton Island - just don't step on the soldier crabs! How are you stepping up for Cerebral Palsy?

23.01.2022 We're all dreaming of our next getaway... To brighten our work week, we're trialling #Holiday Hump Day , a variation on #Hawaiian Shirt Friday. This Wednesday, you'll see the team wearing their favourite holiday souvenir t-shirt. Indulge us, and listen to our favourite travel stories and tell us yours. When the restrictions lift, you might even have some new places to add to your bucket list.

18.01.2022 In the quest to brighten up our blank walls, we stumbled across Art to love North Lakes. This talented husband and wife team only started selling their art a few months ago, but there are so many beautiful pieces to choose from. If you’re after a particular colour or design, Art to love also does commission pieces. Our new painting makes me think of an aerial shot of the reef. #holidaydreaming #supportlocal

18.01.2022 Meet the team Q&A with our newest physio Emily WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT BEING A PHYSIO? I love being able to help people achieve their goals, be it returning to work or sport, walking the dog or playing with their grandchildren. When I was injured as a kid, physio always helped me get back to what I wanted to do and I love that I can now help others in the same way. ... WHAT CAN YOU HELP WITH? I have experience in treating a variety of conditions including work or sporting related injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation and general musculoskeletal pain. I also offer dry needling and have a special interest in treating horse riders. WHAT DAYS DO YOU WORK? Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES? I'm a dressage rider and in my spare time I train and compete my horse, Harley. DREAM DESTINATION? Too many to choose but probably the Maldives or Bora Bora. Relaxing in a villa over the water sounds perfect to me! Emily has some spots left this afternoon and tomorrow. Book online or give us a call to secure yours. www.physiometrics.com.au

17.01.2022 What are you doing to rejuvenate this weekend? We're taking Bella the dog with us for brekky and a beach walk. You really are your most valuable asset, so invest some time in yourself.

15.01.2022 Happy first birthday Physiometrics!!! Thank you to everyone who lifted a paintbrush, assembled IKEA furniture, shared a post, came to visit or checked in how we were going. A particularly big thank you to Kim for our fabulous website and Art to love for the gorgeous paintings that brighten our walls. So many small businesses don’t survive the first year. With COVID, the struggle has been even more real. ... We’ve managed to stay open 6 days per week and employ 7 dedicated and caring staff. We’ve provided physiotherapy to almost 1000 members of the local community and hope we have the chance to help even more people feel better in the future. Thank you for your support over the last year!

14.01.2022 During pregnancy, some women experience lower back and pelvic pain. One of the support options available from your physio or chiropractor is a Serola Sacroiliac Belt. Worn around the hips, it may help support the ligaments, strengthen core muscles and provide pain relief. These belts can also be worn post-pregnancy to provide additional stability and assist with injury prevention. Physiometrics stocks a range of support products - if interested, ask in-store today.

12.01.2022 Almost all of us know someone who has battled cancer. Less commonly known is how physiotherapy can assist in preventing decline pre and post cancer treatment. Have a look at the 5 facts below on physio cancer care from the Australian Physiotherapy Association.

02.01.2022 Wish you had this view? We can’t help there, but we do have some tips to make your work from home environment more comfortable to keep you feeling your best throughout the day. 1. The top of your screen should be at eye level and about one arm length in front of you 2. Using an adjustable office chair allows you to tailor your chair height and back rest angle to suit your body... 3. Sit/stand desks are great for allowing postural changes throughout the day, but for standard desks height should be 68-72cm 4. Your desk should be just below elbow height 5. Position your keyboard directly in front of you, with the mouse level and close to the side of the keyboard 6. Setting up your work zone keep work materials and accessories of regular use close to you within reach, with less frequently used items in the outer zones of your workstation

01.01.2022 Physiometrics is open as usual. We are continuing to implement our enhanced screening and cleaning measures. If you do not feel well, please give our friendly reception team a call on 07 3419 8671 to reschedule your appointment. Your well-being is our number one priority.
