19.01.2022 Feeling sore or struggling to get back to the gym or into your exercise routine? It's important to ease yourself back into your exercise after a long break. This could mean sticking to a few exercises and gradually increasing reps or intensity. Be patient and remember to stretch and cool down afterwards, which is key to preventing injury and improving recovery.

31.12.2021 VERTIGO For anyone who has suffered from vertigo, it is not an experience you would ever like to repeat. However, the good news is that most forms of vertigo are easily diagnosed and treated by physiotherapists who have specialised in vestibular rehabilitation. The most common cause of dizziness is known as Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV). This occurs when tiny calcium carbonate crystals become trapped in the canals of your inner ear. Another cause of dizziness... is vestibular neuritis, where the balance nerve becomes inflamed leading to loss of normal function of the nerve in one ear and can cause vertigo. Symptoms include dizziness, sense of spinning - including when lying down - nausea and visual deficits. Vestibular Physiotherapists are able to prescribe specific exercises to help compensate for the loss of nerve function, restoring balance, visual acuity and quality of life. If you have any symptoms or are concerned, feel free to give us a call and book an appointment #physiotherapy #physio #vertigo #ballina #lismore #casino #bangalow #goonellabah #alstonville
