19.01.2022 Why movement in pain management is so important? Physical activity and movement are vital to helping you manage your pain so you can complete your everyday activities. When we experience acute pain, for example when we roll an ankle or experience a lower back injury, one of the body’s natural responses is to tense up and limit as much our movement, to protect our body. That initial protective response usually lasts 24-48 hours, but it can be unhelpful in the long term if it p...Continue reading

15.01.2022 Do you suffer from frequent sinus infections or sinus migraines? You need to read this article! Sinuses are air-filled spaces behind your nose, inside the forehead and cheekbones. These channels can get irritated by allergens in the air (dust-mites, mold, pollen, etc.). When the sinuses get inflamed, they swell and produce mucus that can block your sinuses. The build-up of pressure in blocked sinuses will cause headaches that are difficult to relieve. ... You will also experience a runny nose, fullness in your ears, or even swelling in your face. If it’s an infection you will more likely have a fever. This requires a GP consultation. Many people suffer from chronic sinus irritation and inflammation that is causing or contributing to their headaches. During the winter season in Brisbane, the air becomes colder and many people experience regular sinus irritation during that time. Summer, on the other hand, can get very dry and hot which in turn can also dry our sinuses, causing irritation and inflammation. A lot of people with sinus issues are unable to breathe with their noses due to congestion and must breathe with their mouth which causes issues, like dry mouth, and may result in low oxygen concentration in the blood. Treatment The treatment aims to reduce inflammation and swelling in your sinuses to clear the channels for better airflow. Some many antihistamines or decongestants are available over the counter, but it is not recommended to use for more than 3 days as it can increase your symptoms. A very effective and natural way to help your sinuses to recover is a warm steam vaporizer, like Euky Bear. The benefits of warm steam A warm steam vaporizer heats the water in a container and the water is vaporized into warm steam and humidifies the air. You can use natural essentials oils, like eucalyptus that have anti-inflammatory properties that will aid in reducing inflammation in your sinuses. Warm steam loosens phlegm and soothes a sore throat. It is also very effective in treating dry cough. You can use Euky Bear for up to 14 hours at night for better sleep. My patients who suffer from headaches and chronic sinus issues have great results since they started using Euky Bear every day. They have noticed improved quality of sleep and reduction in their sinus headaches. References: 1. https://www.healthline.com 2. https://www.productreview.com. 3. https://mumcentral.com.au

12.01.2022 What should I make for dinner tonight? Are you looking for a quick vegetarian meal that is easy to make at home and at the same time It is filling and delicious? Have a look at our creamy mushroom sauce with dill potatoes recipe. This recipe if not difficult and even a beginner cook can make it! Today I used Quorn pieces that are a good source of protein. A 300-gram pack has 44.4 grams of protein and it tastes so much better than soy products. Creamy mushroom sauce with dill... potatoes Servings: 2 Total time: 30 minutes 500 grams of mushroom (washed and cut in slices) 250 grams of spinach 2 tablespoons of grapeseed oil 8 large white potatoes (peeled and sliced in four’s for quicker cooking) bunch of green onions (chopped) One bunch of dill (save 1/3 for potato garnish) One packet of Quorn 300 grams (I buy one at Woolworths in the frozen section) Salt Pepper 1/8 teaspoon chili powder For sauce: 1 Tablespoon of tapioca starch 3 Tablespoons of mascarpone cheese cup of water Preparation: Boil the potatoes by adding just enough water to cover them and add 2 teaspoons of salt. Potatoes need about 20- 25 minutes to boil. Heat oil on a skillet and add your spring onions. Fry until slightly browned. Add mushrooms and cook for about 10 minutes until the mushroom releases water (this will be base for your sauce). Add frozen Quorn and cook for 10 minutes. In the end, you add spinach and cook for an additional 5 minutes. Add salt, pepper, and chili powder to your likings. It is better to add your spices at the end of cooking as mushrooms tend to absorb a lot of salt during the cooking process if you add it at the beginning. In a separate container add cup of cold water and mix it with tapioca starch. Add 3 tablespoons of mascarpone cheese and mix it well until all the lumps are dissolved. Add the mix to your mushrooms and mix them well together. You can always add more cold water if the sauce appears too thick. The sauce should have a nice creamy consistency. Check if your potatoes are soft. Drain the water from the potatoes and add your dill. Mix it well together. Serve and enjoy!
