25.01.2022 At Phytness we love to hear your feedback on any aspect of our service so that we can continue striving to exceed your expectations. You may wonder then why you can't find reviews and customer comments on our social media sites? This is to ensure we uphold the requirements of our professional registration with AHPRA that requires we do not publish testimonials that could influence people's decisions about their health care (https://www.ahpra.gov.au//Advertising-resources/What-consu) So, if you want to let us know something, please drop us an email, give us a call or drop in for a chat. #physiotherapy #advertising #illawarra #wollongong #professional #feedback

17.01.2022 It all starts with a diagnosis! Once you have one, your physiotherapist can give you advice about your recovery time, how they can help you and what you can do to speed up your recovery. Treatment will usually include a combination of physiotherapy treatment such as mobilisation, manipulation, soft tissue treatment, and exercises, as well as things you can do at home such as how to manage pain and exercises you can do to help. They’ll also be able to review the pros and cons of different treatment options with you. Your physiotherapist's goal will be to help restore pain-free movement and function of your spine. #physio #physiotherapy #backpain #backpainrelief #wellness #pain #fitness #wollongong #illawarra #physicaltherapy #sportstherapy #sportsmedicine #spine #rehab #stress #stressrelief

09.01.2022 Common causes of dizziness, vertigo and disequilibrium (feeling unbalanced) include illness (virus), head injuries, neck problems, disorders of the inner ear, migraine and medications. A stroke, heart arrhythmias and blood pressure disorders can also cause vertigo. Depression and anxiety may also trigger the sensation. Stress is a known trigger of vertigo and may prompt relapses of the symptoms in chronic sufferers. Some possible causes of dizziness include a sudden drop in b...lood pressure, heart muscle disease, decrease in blood volume, anxiety disorders, anaemia (low iron), hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar), ear infection, dehydration, and heatstroke. In rare cases, dizziness has been caused by multiple sclerosis, a stroke, a malignant tumour, or other brain disorder. Drinking plenty of fluids can help when dizziness is caused by excessive exercise, heat, or dehydration. Physio can successfully treat dizziness due to some causes. With so many more potential causes than listed here, we recommend you visit a health professional for an accurate diagnosis so a management plan can be worked out. #vertigo #dizziness #physio #physiotherapy #wellness #pain #fitness #wollongong #illawarra #physicaltherapy #sports therapy #sportsmedicine #spine #rehab #stress #stressrelief

04.01.2022 When people experience pain associated with work postures or tasks, there can be simple modifications to their work setup, stretches and home based exercise that can help to manage the symptoms. The good news is, we are still here in the clinic at Fairy Meadow to work through these issues with you and are now able to work with you via telehealth as well. If you think that your home work setup may be contributing to problems, a telehealth consultation may offer the advantage o...f allowing us to review your workspace with you and suggest modifications and simple strategies that could help you look after yourself during this period of social isolation and working from home. We are happy to discuss your needs and whether telehealth or clinic based consultation may be appropriate in your circumstances, don't hesitate to give us a call. #homeoffice #socialisolation #telehealth #physiotherapy #ergonomics #illawarra #community #selfcare #neckpain #shoulderpain #backpain #workfromhome #pain See more
