21.01.2022 If you suffer from low back pain, you are not alone. Low back pain is a common musculoskeletal condition which will affect many individuals at some point in their lives. Low back pain has many causes. ... It can be caused by muscular strains, ligament sprains, herniated or bulged discs, facet joint or nerve irritation to name a few. Often low back pain be caused by minor incidents e.g. bending awkwardly to lift something or during sports; but is more often due to sustained overstress injuries and lack of movement. Low back pain is considered chronic when your symptoms last longer than 3 months. Following 3 months, the structures in your back are well healed, and the remaining pain can be due to sensitised nerves, overprotective muscles, or poorly functioning muscles. Physiotherapists are skilled in treating low back pain. Physio treatment of low back pain focuses on restoring pain free movement, and helping you maintain improvement long term. This may be achieved by through hands on treatment to reduce pain, mobilise stiff joints, and reduce muscle tension. Exercises are important for strengthening, core stabilisation and retraining movement patterns to take pressure off painful structures and teach you to move in the most effective way. 09.01.2022 This is one of my favorite quotes Making it more incredible is that everyone seems to interpret it in their own way. Seeing the quote through our own lens, we attach our very own meaning. To me, I like to think of it as we already have everything we need within us. To stop looking outward for love, approval, courage and instead to look inward. No matter which way you look at it, and whatever it means to you, there's no denying that it's beautiful.... What does it mean to you? Leave a comment below See more

03.01.2022 Single Arm Row - Wonderful for posture, obliques & arms. An added challenge if done in tall kneeling A few things to watch out for -... 1. Keep your lower tummy gently drawn in & think about elongating the spine as you rotate. This will help to prevent your lower back from arching. 2. Keep your head in alignment with your chest (ie don’t swivel your head around too far, focus on your rib cage rotating instead) 3. As you bend one elbow back, reach the opposite arm forward maintaining its height (you will be tempted to let it drop) Look forward to seeing you soon! #Technique
