25.01.2022 2021 is a year full of exciting but somewhat emotional news at PHYZ X! It's time to say goodbye to "The Orange Arcade"! This week we moved our Orange HQ clinic to two new venues; 266 Anson Street (cnr March St), ORANGE Fitness Perfection Orange, 168 March St, ORANGE... Continuing to provide Pilates & Yoga classes from our studio in; Leaheys Arcade, 145 Summer St, ORANGE Almost 15-years ago we started in our humble single room gym-based clinic with a treatment bench, a bunch of towels, a paper book appointment list, and a plan to build a practice I could proudly practice my profession as a Physiotherapist & Exercise Physiologist. Today I lead a large team of amazing people creating healthier communities across the central west and beyond. This week marks the end of a chapter, as we leave our "first home", once shared with our good friends at "Orange Central Fitness". With so many memories of the hours spent bringing to life PHYZ X, our amazing team, and meeting the wonderful people of Orange over the past one-and-a-half decades. Our next chapter sees us move our PHYZ X Allied Health team to premier clinical rooms at 266 Anson St ORANGE site along with placing our PHYZ X Fit (Exercise Physiology) team at our new top-class gym site in ORANGE FITNESS PERFECTION to access some of the best health and fitness facilities in the region. 23.01.2022 It's tragedies like this that are unimaginable. Our heart goes out to this young family. Broken apart at a time that should have been so special. The health professional community of Orange have lost a respected colleague. We would like to do anything we can do to support Liam and his 3 children as they move through this devastating period. A fundraising has been circulated to support the family which we have attached below.

Challenge: Post a picture of you working towards becoming the best version of U or someone who inspires U to achieve your FULL Potential Practitioner Profile Name: Darcie Role at PHYZX 2U: Exercise Physiologist How did you get to where you are today? From a young age my family always encouraged my participation in sport and other activities. I was always involved in netball, touch football, dancing, swimming, athletics, basketball and any other sport that was offered. This really instilled a health and fitness mindset from a young age and when searching for a degree to study at university, Exercise and Sport Science seemed like the best fit. This than lead me into a Masters of Exercise Physiology. What do you do in your spare time? I spend a lot of my spare time either training for sport or playing sport. I enjoy rugby union 7s and 15s, touch football, league tag and I hope to start playing netball again soon. I do enjoy pilates and yoga as a good method of destressing and relaxation. I also like to spend my down time watching Netflix and Stan, life is all about balance, right? What inspires you to be your best self? My family have always held a high regard for health and fitness and this really inspired me to try to be the happiest and healthiest version of myself. Having this mentality lead me to want to be the best the role model for others and to inspires others to be active as well. I truly believe that the happier and healthier you are, the more enjoyment you get out of life. 15.01.2022 Exercise is an essential part of life. There are lots of ways to start moving and get active. Our PHYZ X Fit team are here everyday assisting people with their journeys of movement. From the Beginner to the Elite athletes our programs support YOU and YOUR movement goals.... Below our team share how they like to stay active and feel better than ever. Jess - Physiotherapist I have a recently switched around my training schedule. I love mixing it up to keep it interesting with a variety of activities. I do a combination of functional training with the aim of 3-4 times a week, I also add in Pilates and Yoga class at least once a week to have a good stretch out. Add in my love of sport with 1-2 games of netball a week. Ensuring I have an active rest day with a light walk to make sure getting daily exercise goals. Ange - Physiotherapist To ensure I can exercise right in our current stage of life. I need to find ways of exercising that are effective and efficient. Discipline is the biggest driver for sustainability for me. As a family, We just have to DO IT. Not having time is not an excuse. To ensure we do it regularly enough we can’t rely on in town gyms and set face to face classes. So we have a basic gym set up in our shed and we optimise using the hills to get great cardio and strength bang for our buck!! The hubby and I are both currently training for the half marathon at the Dubbo Stampede in late August I love exercising in front of the kids as I believe it sets a good example of what is normal to them. Caroline - Client Services Exercise is the absolute best medicine for me, as I feel better physically and mentally!! It varies week to week but recently I’ve been loving Pilates and going for walks around our pretty town of Orange. Christine - Exercise Physiologist I like making being active a part of every day life, so I try and include the kids- whether we are going walking and they scooter or balance bike or going swimming together. But this doesn’t really ‘count’, so when I exercise I enjoy my own space and go to pilates, play a game of netball and take a run to get the heart pumping and the muscles moving. 06.01.2022 PHYZ X Squads is here! This is an offering that connects children, adolescents and adults to the High-Performance Coaching team at PHYZ X. The team led by Physiotherapist & Head Coach Leigh Miller and welcomes Coaches Mitch Williamson, Darcie Morrison and Reynee Ward to provide a host of group and individual offerings supporting the fundamentals of sporting, running, and artistic performance. Whether your child is striving for elite performance, building on the basics of run...ning, sport or fitness, or achieving their full potential in their athletic, sporting, or artistic pursuits. We have an option to support them. In addition to the PHYZ X Squads group sessions, the team will undergo fitness, performance and injury risk assessment, take part in fitness challenges and competitions. All athletes will have access to the whole PHYZ X Coaching Team through regular online meetings with Head Coach and other key professionals throughout the year.
