He dropped by our bar one Friday evening and won us over with his gentle, genuine nature, humility and commitment to his craft. He told us about his journeys through Spain earlier this year, immersing himself in the towns, landscape and world that inspired Albéniz's evocative 'Iberia' suite. This Sunday afternoon, he will perform a book from this suite, a new work he himself composed, inspired by these travels, and other works showing some form of Spanish influence. It has been a privilege and an honour to be a part of telling the true story of what happened in Newfoundland during that time. This amazing initiative to pay it forward has inspired me to give back to my community and to learn about what other people are doing for that community. And is happy to crush some cans. _ We want to make Tempo Rubato free of landfill waste. We have our wine on tap, with no waste created. And we use cans for everything else, taking them directly to scrap metal for recycling. We need some help streamlining our system! We need someone to come on the weekends and crush our cans.
