23.01.2022 Winter is a very busy season in the world of piano tuning! Dark Mofo was an especially busy period with lots of concerts happening around Hobart. My personal piano was hired for a Nicholas Jarr concert and tuned down to A432 for something different. I had the challenge of tuning two Yamaha C7s in sync for the Carmina Burana Concert at the Farrell Centre. I travelled to Port Arthur for The Festival of Voices and had a large amount of institution and private work. I also flew... to Melbourne to sit a tuning and regulation examination. I am happy to say that I was successful and will be leaving for Japan next Tuesday to complete a month of intensive training at the Yamaha Academy! 20.01.2022 Reached the halfway mark of the Grand Piano Course at the Yamaha Piano Technical Academy - only 2 weeks to go. The training is intensive and the days are long but an amazing experience all round. I am refining my skills every single day, I am so grateful to be here! We have free time over the weekend and what better thing to do than geek out at the Yamaha Museum - Innovation Road. Here are some photos of my time there yesterday.
