22.01.2022 Last night we had the amazing Deborah as our delightful Toastmaster. Not only was she exemplary in the role, but she also educated us on International White Cane Day, which is today. Deborah we’re so proud of you and you are an amazing ambassador for Toastmasters, DeafBlind and International White Cane Day.

15.01.2022 Congratulations to Patrick & Debbie who competed in the Area S32 Finals in Table Topics & the Humorous Speech contests today. You both represented Piara Waters Toastmasters professionally and with brilliant speeches. Patrick placed second in the Table Topics Contest by sharing how he achieved excellence last year in his soccer pursuits. Congratulations Patrick Debbie won the Humorous Speech Contest with her speech about stealing her neighbour’s pot plant. She had the audience in stitches. We couldn’t see them on Zoom but we know they were laughing out loud. Debbie will now represent Area S32 in the Division Final which will be held on Saturday November 21st at 9am. Let’s all get online to support her.

15.01.2022 Last night we had our Table Topics Speech Contest and it was amazing! The most amazing aspect is that this club is less than 1 year old and we had 6 contestants AND none of them had even seen a Table Topics Contest before! Congratulations to every contestant. Whether you placed or not, you won! The Topic was The future holds....... We had varied answers of robots taking over the world, a wedding, Freedom, automation of our menial day to day tasks and a more tolerant community.

It was wonderful to welcome our brand new member Vanice into our club and our visitor, Mekhala.
