21.01.2022 To answer the questions from today's play in Sydney about the new provisional drop serve:--The man of the rule book Don Stanley answers: https://youtu.be/r01BXi-WoAQ 1) Yes, the drop hits the ground and bounces back up. No it cannot be propelled in any way. After the ball bounces, it is like a ground stroke and you are not bound to the below the waist, the upward motion, etc usual serving rules. and 2) yes, it can bounce twice before you serve to the opponents.
