22.01.2022 Picnic Creek’s KINDNESS challenge for day 2...... make a new friend
22.01.2022 2020 has been a very tough year for many, including many weeks away from the school due to Covid-19. This has also meant a large reduction in the number of fund...raising events able to be held by the PCSS P&C team this year. We are however very pleased and grateful that our wonderful community came out in huge support of the fundraisers that we did hold, which means we very nearly met our pre-Covid projected profit for 2020 anyway! As such, we’re able to meet our full goal as targeted for the colour run, which is to pay the full costs of installing artificial turf into the prep play area. Special thanks to all the many volunteers both at events and behind the scenes that make all these events possible, and to our wonderful school management and staff that facilitate all our proposals so that we’re all working towards ensuring that every student succeeds. This success doesn’t happen without us all working together, including the generous support of our community. Thankyou all. The PCSS P&C We Respect, We Communicate, We Encourage See more

20.01.2022 Dear PCSS Community, Most of you will be aware of the code of expectations called the Picnic Creek Way, which is the basis for the weekly student awards for the... PC3: We are Kind, We are Safe and We are Learners. Earlier this year our PCSS staff also settled on their own PC3: Consistencies, Conversations, Connections. The P&C has now also been asked to lead the discussion in the choice of some wording for a PC3 for the wider school community (parents, carers etc.). At a recent P&C meeting, our P&C members had a discussion about words that we felt reflected the importance of our actions as a community when interacting with the school. We shortlisted those words and have come up with the proposal of "We Respect, We Communicate, We Encourage". Now we'd love to have some feedback from the broader community on this proposal. Please let us know if you like the proposed wording, and if you don't, we'd love some constructive suggestions on alternatives that you feel better reflect our interactions with staff, students and the school itself. Thanks in advance for your input. The PCSS P&C Association

17.01.2022 How to Order Book Fair Online: Step 1: Kids come with class groups to view the books and make a 'Wish List' Step 2: Your child will bring home the Wish List... slip with book choices. Step 3: Instructions of how to pay are on the back. Step 4: When you pay online you'll receive an 8-digit reference number. Can you please put this on the Wish List and clearly mark which book/s you've paid for on the front by Highlighting or Circling the book/s your child is getting. Step 5: Your child brings the Wish List slip to school and can collect the book/s from Book Fair either before school or at second break next week. Step 6: Your child then has a go at the 'Guess the Lollies in the Jar' competition Step 7: We keep the Wish List slips to go into our lucky prize draws at the end of the Book Fair to win lots of other prizes IMPORTANT: Your child MUST bring back the Wish List Slip so we can keep this as a reference and also use this for the prize draws. Note: We will keep a record of all the Wish Lists on file so if this gets lost please contact us to get another copy. Happy reading everyone!! See more
