25.01.2022 They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old. We will remember them
25.01.2022 On the ninth day of Christmas my pharmacy gave to me treatments for warts and fungal skin infections Some of the most common summer complaints are warts and fungal skin infections which thrive on hot, sweaty skin. HPV or the Human Papilloma Virus is responsible for causing warts and can enter the body through damaged skin, such as a cut or bruise. You also see more fungal skin infections like Athletes Foot or tinea pedis which most often grow between the toes and can cause an itchy, stinging rash and cracked skin
23.01.2022 A sore throat can be just that, a viral infection in up to 90% of cases. However other less common causes can result from a bacterial infection, smoking, irritants, traumatic injury, allergies, GORD or side effects from medications Check-in with our pharmacist if your symptoms are worrying you
23.01.2022 On the sixth day of Christmas my pharmacy gave to me help and advice for gastro! In summer we spend lots more time in the water whether ocean, swimming pool or spa. While most swimming pools are clean, if a pool hasnt been properly treated with pool chemicals you can contract eye, ear, skin and chest infections as well as gastroenteritis. Speak to us about protecting yourself and your family
22.01.2022 On the seventh day of Christmas my pharmacy gave to me treatment for swimmers ear This is an infection or inflammation of the canal between the outer ear and the ear drum and treatment will depend on the severity of symptoms and the cause We have drops to prevent it, so come in today!
22.01.2022 On the fifth day of Christmas my community pharmacy gave to me a MedsCheck If you are caring for an elderly relative with complex medical needs, your pharmacist can undertake a MedsCheck in the pharmacy. This provides for in-pharmacy reviews of consumers who are taking multiple medications and is aimed at enhancing the quality use of medicines and reducing the number of adverse drug events experienced by patients
21.01.2022 On the twelfth day of Christmas my pharmacy gave to me help to manage the symptoms of my psoriasis Psoriasis is a non-contagious chronic skin condition. Psoriatic disease causes the lifecycle of skin cells to speed up rapidly, leaving a build-up of extra skin cells on the surface of the skin. This can lead to scaly, red and itchy patches that can sometimes be quite painful. While there is no cure for psoriasis it often comes and goes and the symptoms can be managed. The main objective of treating psoriasis is to stop the skin cells from growing so rapidly.
18.01.2022 Just a timely reminder , especially if you have had COVID test , please go straight home and call us to organize your FREE contactless delivery For the safety of our staff please do not come into the pharmacy for last minute supplies before you isolate

16.01.2022 On the fourth day of Christmas my pharmacy gave to me help to treat heat rash Heat rash is a common summer complaint for both babies and adults. There are a number of medications that can help to ease symptoms of itching and can treat inflammation. Speak to our pharmacist today
16.01.2022 Your actions now affect how this progresses
16.01.2022 On the eleventh day of Christmas my pharmacy gave to me advice about teen acne. While some teens only develop mild acne, others may need to visit their doctor or dermatologist to treat the painful cysts and nodules that develop under their skin. If your child is feeling self-conscious about skin breakouts then there are a range of things you can do to help them. There are a lot of myths surrounding acne, especially around food, hygiene and make-up. Your pharmacist is an easily accessible source of advice and can answer many of your questions. They will refer your teen to a doctor if needed.
15.01.2022 Symptoms can vary from mild to severe depending on the patients age and co-morbidities Help stop the spread by washing your hands, sneezing into your elbow and more importantly, stay home if you are sick! If you present with fever, cough, sore throat or shortness of breath AND have returned from travel to an affected area or been around someone with confirmed COVID-19 - Seek medical attention

15.01.2022 On the third day of Christmas my pharmacy gave to me help to deal with vomiting and diarrhoea. The risk of food-borne illnesses is high in summer as bacteria multiply quickly in the heat. Speak to our pharmacist if you have symptoms like vomiting and diarrhoea
15.01.2022 On the tenth day of Christmas my community pharmacy gave to me help to treat dry skin Changes in temperature and humidity can cause your skin to dry out, making them itch. Your extremities like your shins can be more prone to drying out than other parts of the body. Our pharmacist can advise you on the best solution for your skin!

13.01.2022 Disease should show us that we are all connected and that we need to help each other, not divide us. We can help each other in many ways. Each Individual can help slow the spread of the virus through measures like staying home when you feel just a little bit sick (even when it is inconvenient), washing hands often, and following public health official recommendations when it comes to avoiding large crowds of people

11.01.2022 Did you know that the first 1000 days between a women’s pregnancy until her child’s second birthday provides a window of opportunity to build a healthier mind and body for her child? Poor nutrition in the first 1,000 days can cause irreversible damage to a child’s growing brain, affecting their ability to do well in school. It can also set the stage for later obesity, diabetes, and other chronic diseases which can lead to a lifetime of health problems. . . Speak to our pharmacist about achieving the right nutrition from conception through to breastfeeding to provide the best start in life for your baby

Speak to our pharmacist about how to store medications at the correct temperature
08.01.2022 I'm a doctor and an Infectious Diseases Specialist. I've been at this for more than 20 years seeing sick patients on a daily basis. I have worked in inner city ...hospitals and in the poorest slums of Africa. HIV-AIDS, Hepatitis,TB, SARS, Measles, Shingles, Whooping cough, Diphtheria...there is little I haven't been exposed to in my profession. And with notable exception of SARS, very little has left me feeling vulnerable, overwhelmed or downright scared. I am not scared of Covid-19. I am concerned about the implications of a novel infectious agent that has spread the world over and continues to find new footholds in different soil. I am rightly concerned for the welfare of those who are elderly, in frail health or disenfranchised who stand to suffer mostly, and disproportionately, at the hands of this new scourge. But I am not scared of Covid-19. What I am scared about is the loss of reason and wave of fear that has induced the masses of society into a spellbinding spiral of panic, stockpiling obscene quantities of anything that could fill a bomb shelter adequately in a post-apocalyptic world. I am scared of the N95 masks that are stolen from hospitals and urgent care clinics where they are actually needed for front line healthcare providers and instead are being donned in airports, malls, and coffee lounges, perpetuating even more fear and suspicion of others. I am scared that our hospitals will be overwhelmed with anyone who thinks they " probably don't have it but may as well get checked out no matter what because you just never know..." and those with heart failure, emphysema, pneumonia and strokes will pay the price for overfilled ER waiting rooms with only so many doctors and nurses to assess. I am scared that travel restrictions will become so far reaching that weddings will be canceled, graduations missed and family reunions will not materialize. And well, even that big party called the Olympic Games...that could be kyboshed too. Can you even imagine? I'm scared those same epidemic fears will limit trade, harm partnerships in multiple sectors, business and otherwise and ultimately culminate in a global recession. But mostly, I'm scared about what message we are telling our kids when faced with a threat. Instead of reason, rationality, openmindedness and altruism, we are telling them to panic, be fearful, suspicious, reactionary and self-interested. Covid-19 is nowhere near over. It will be coming to a city, a hospital, a friend, even a family member near you at some point. Expect it. Stop waiting to be surprised further. The fact is the virus itself may cause you great harm or none at all. But our own behaviors and "fight for yourself above all else" attitude could prove disastrous. I implore you all. Temper fear with reason, panic with patience and uncertainty with education. We have an opportunity to learn a great deal about health hygiene and limiting the spread of innumerable transmissible diseases in our society. Let's meet this challenge together in the best spirit of compassion for others, patience, and above all, an unfailing effort to seek truth, facts and knowledge as opposed to conjecture, speculation and catastrophizing. Facts not fear. Clean hands. Open hearts. Our children will thank us for it. #washurhands #geturflushot #respect #patiencenotpanic

Its important to have suitable products on hand to both prevent bites and stings as well as treat them
