Picton Fire & Rescue Station 421 pri...mary rescue along with Fire and Rescue NSW Station 008 Liverpool vertical rescue crews performed the rescue at Mermaids Pool near Tahmoor. 25.01.2022 Our crew is currently on scene with Wilton RFS and FRNSW Campbelltown, at a rooftop solar panel fire at Bingara Gorge, Wilton.

23.01.2022 Last week our crew joined by Camden and Ingleburn Firefighters attended the Emergency Services Academy at Orchard Hills. The crews took part in fire attack and building entry techniques, extinguishing mock truck, car, service station and building fires.

23.01.2022 Our Rescue Pumper and Tanker have just returned from clearing a large tree that had fallen across the road and brought down powerlines at Anthill Park Golf Club. Energy authorities are working to restore power in the area.

23.01.2022 CAR FIRE I #PICTON At 2:22am Picton Fire & Rescue Station 421 was responded to Connellan Cr Picton to reports of a car alight. Fire and Rescue NSW crews arrived... to find a ute well alight. Fire and Rescue NSW crews in Breathing apparatus used foam to extinguish the fire which destroyed the vehicle. #fire #Wollondilly

23.01.2022 CARAVAN CRASH I Hume Highway #PhesentsNest At Midday today Fire and Rescue NSW operators received 000 calls to a multi vehicle accident with people reported tra...pped on the Hume Highway Pheasants Nest. Picton Fire & Rescue Station 421 responded and on arrival found a 4x4 towing a caravan had lost control jack knifing and crashing. Lucky no one was trapped in the vehicle. One person was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance crews. Fire and Rescue NSW crews assisted to clear the scene. This is the second accident Picton Fire & Rescue Station 421 has responded to today after having earlier responded to Finns Rd Menangle. 19.01.2022 CAR INTO A HOUSE I #Bargo At 11:43pm Sydney Fire Communications - Fire Rescue NSW - 801 Station received calls to a car crashed into a house on Jack Davis Plac...e Bargo. Picton Fire & Rescue Station 421 Rescue Pumper and 4x4 tanker, Fire and Rescue NSW Station 093 Narellan Rescue Pumper and Fire and Rescue NSW Station 008 Liverpool technical rescue vehicle responded and RFS On arrival Fire and Rescue NSW crews found a car had driven into the front bedroom of a house trapping an occupant under the vehicle and the driver of the vehicle. Fire and Rescue NSW worked to release the two trapped people. Shoring timber from Liverpool Technical vehicle was used to shore up the house so that the car could be removed and and house remained structurally stable. The incident took more than 3 hours to complete.

18.01.2022 This afternoon our crew responded to assist #Ambulance with a stokes litter at #Buxton Firefighters assisted the Paramdics carry an injured male with minor injuries a short distance up a dirt track.

16.01.2022 A reminder of the inherent risks involved when jumping from the cliffs at mermaid pools. Our crews attend numerous incidents at Mermaids. People need to be aware of the risks involved and need to take into account their personal safety. Jumping from the cliff tops is extremely dangerous at this location.

14.01.2022 Our open Day returns this Saturday 15th at 10am - 2pm. Due to Covid Restrictions there will be no demonstrations or BBQ this year, but the station will be open for anyone to come and have a look at our equipment and speak to the crew about what we do in the community.

14.01.2022 This afternoon crews from 421 attended 3 x incidents back to back. The first an assist #Ambulance at Montpelier Drive, The Oaks, then upon return to our station reports of a building #fire in #Picton, which turned out to be a backyard burn, and our crews have now returned from a BBQ fire in Picton that was extinguished by the owner before our arrival.

13.01.2022 CAR ACCIDENT I #Wilton Shortly after midday Fire and Rescue NSW operators received calls to a car accident with people reported trapped on the Hume Highway Wil...ton. Picton Fire & Rescue Station 421 was responded as the primary rescue unit and on arrival they found a single car accident with a car having crashed into the median strip. No one was injured in the accident. Fird and Rescue NSW crews worked to render the area safe.

09.01.2022 #Picton Road is closed near Macarthur Drive at #Wilton. Our crews have attended a serious motor vehicle accident and the traffic will be affected for some time. The following advice is from the RMS "Eastbound into Macarthur Drive, Wilton Road and Appin Road. Eastbound heavy vehicles should use Hume Highway to avoid Broughton Pass. Westbound Princes Highway and Appin Road"

07.01.2022 Multi Agency response to a structure fire in Hill Top this afternoon. On arrival the house was well alight with fire through the roof. Fire and Rescue crews fro...m Mittagong and Picton along with local RFS crews working hard, were able to extinguish the fire and then begin salvage of any savable contents. See more
