25.01.2022 Its rare to come across a natural beauty who can get in front of a camera and make every shot count. Holly Morgan is able to work the camera to her advantage with relative ease and confidence. A model for Alpha Models, her experience made the photo shoot a real pleasure. It allowed me to simple focus on getting the absolute best angles...and keep myself and my camera from drowing from the rising tide. In the editing end nip and tucks is a common thing is the world of photogr...aphy. With Holly, non of that happened. Some basic to advance photoshopping but no alteration what so ever regarding her physical appearance. Many more images to come and we have planned another photo shoot to make up for todays time constraints. Keep an eye for more images in the coming days.

24.01.2022 Having read an article of the upcoming meteor shower that was suppose to be most visible tonight, I rushed to the clearest area near my house to see if I could possibly capture some falling stars. Unfortunately, not knowing the exact patch of sky to aim for, I couldnt quite capture what I set out to photograph. However, never one to admit defeat, I decided to just do some landscape photos for my own enjoyment. Not familiar with this part of Whiteman Park, I thought it safe t...o keep by the road side and photograph from a distance. Experimenting with different elements in my photo, I thought to add a little movement in my composition by waiting for a vehicle to drive past to capture its light trails. Here is the end result. A simple little photo, but a good little number :)

24.01.2022 There is always something magical about photographing an approaching storm. For me, it makes me feel humbled and humility compared to the forces of mother nature. Because of the size of the area a storm covers, finding an ideal location to photograph the most interesting aspect of it is difficult. Specially if youre within suburbia. Lucky for me Whiteman Park is only a short drive from my house, so it was just determining the ideal spot to take the shot.... Here is the best location I could manage with such a short window of opportunity to capture an awesome spectacle.

24.01.2022 Simply magical. When two people are meant for each other, it shows in everything that they do. The last destination for the four location photo shoots, and perhaps the most meaningful location for this two newly weds. Not even the unsettled weather prevented us from getting some magical photos that both Brawny and Karyee can cherish for a lifetime.

24.01.2022 Two very long days of photographing the Buddhas Birthday Festival and as exhausting as it is, its also the most gratifying feeling of doing something so very meaningful for absolutely no personal gains. My hope is that the photos I took this last two days will help create a greater awareness of the incredibly hard working and selfless individuals(volunteers) involved in making this event happen. The photos I will present them will be a tribute to their hard work and dedication throughout the year.

22.01.2022 My warmest and most sincere congratulation to the newest husband and wife Ben and Liz! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of and to photograph one of the most significant day of your life. Through the blazing 32 degree heat, the laughter and the tears, emotional but heartwarming speeches, the two of you have created unforgettable moments that I was privileged enough to capture and immortalize.... Love is something I understand very well, and something I recognize when I look at the both of you. A long and a happy life together is the one thing I wish for the two of you. Work hard at it and make every moment count...because every moment matters.

22.01.2022 While driving home from rock climbing last night, I noticed mother nature was providing an incredible light show. Opportunities like this are rare, so I dashed home and grabbed some camera gear to hopefully capture the amazing lightning racing across our night sky. To my delight, I managed to capture a few lighting bolts over Whiteman Park. Here is one Im currently working on.

22.01.2022 Once again I had the privilege of being the photographer to another of Josiane Martins from Interior Rejuvenations beautifully presented projects. This particular job she just completed was simply amazing, not just for her usual high end finish, but the level of creativity displayed. Breathtaking to walk into a room she designed and completed, because like me, she is into details. Everything has a purpose and all within view is carefully placed and coordinated.... Yet another spectacular project completed. Here is the first sample of Josies fine work. More images to come.

20.01.2022 What I find so appealing about landscape photography is the waiting. Waiting for the right time, the right moment...waiting for that special event to happen before pressing that shutter buttton to capture that magical moment in time. Having studied art for many years, Ive learned to invision what I want to capture. Photography is no different to painting in that I try to convey an emotion...Im trying to tell a story, and I am wanting to inspire others of the natural beauty ...that we are surrounded by. Yes Ive heard it many times...yet another sunset photo...but to tell you the truth, I will never tire of sunset photos. Sunsets to me represents a significant part of our life journey. It is the golden hour of our day. A spectacle that nature is providing us with. It is natures way of inspiring us to continue enjoying our lives and to continue pursuing our dreams. To start something new, and to share something special with those dearest to us. Yes another sunset...but how many have you missed, and how many are there left for you to see on your life journey. Dont take this magical moment for granted...because as your life journey come closer to its end...you will wish for more sunsets to enjoy with your dearest and most precious.

18.01.2022 With the official opening of my home studio, the first photo shoot came in the form of a fashion shoot. Welcoming a new Label in town, I was fortunate to have two great models to help me create the photographs needed to best showcase this label. A very long eight hour shoot, I was incredibly impressed by the hard work my two models put in to cover as many of the clothing range as we could.... Not forgetting to mention the man responsible for the creation of this new Label. Well done David Beshay. Starting a new business is never easy. Good work buddy

17.01.2022 Recognizing a rare event or a once in a lifetime opportunity is one thing, but doing something about it is another. Noticing the ominous clouds approaching, I knew this was an opportunity to capture something spectacular. I was driving home when I notice this clouds rolling in from the Darling Range, and knowing I had very little time to get home and grab my camera, I had to plan well ahead on deciding which gear to grab and which direction to drive afterwards. Im no meteoro...logist, so all I could do was make an educated guess to where the clouds were heading towards. When I noticed this formation, I quickly pulled over the side of the road, took my tripod and camera and quickly set up my gear. Hoping that there were enough elements to form a good composition. At the same time protecting my less than weather proof lens from the massive droplets of rain falling from the sky. As with all my photos, my main focus is a dynamic composition and an emotion...a feeling that tells me to take the shot. If I dont feel something while looking through my viewfinder, I simply wont push that shutter button. I wont waste my time or add more wear and tear on my gear. When I take a shot I dont rely on luck, I rely on my experience and understanding of photography. Needless to say, I was highly inspired when I saw this event unfolding in front of me.

16.01.2022 My favorite event of the year has been the Buddhas Birthday Festival at the Fo Guang Shan Western Australia - IBAWA . This is my second year helping out with some photography. Although I was indirectly involved this year, I still managed to find the space to take some moment shots that I hope will benefit the Temple and the hard working volunteers for another year. Photography to me has never been about the money, and more about the passion and the love for the art. It is incredibly important to me that from time to time I give my experience and and skill sets to a cause for little more than a smile and a simple thank you.

11.01.2022 I cant think of anything more precious than to watch to people in love sharing something so life changing as to have their first child. To think that this baby will have two amazing parents to look after and care for him brings a smile to my face. What better way to celebrate this special occasion than a baby shower with family and friends! Congratulations Sam and Rowan! We cant wait for the little bub to finally arrive!

11.01.2022 It seems like forever since I last posted on my photography page, but personal changes in my lifestyle have kept me away from my true passion in life. To kick off 2016, I decided to head to our coastline to take a few shots North Beach right on sunset. The beautiful cloud formations that was present all afternoon was unfortunately replaced by fluffy grey clouds...but making the best of every situation is part of what a photographer must be prepared for. Nevertheless, I was moderately satisfied with todays little practice session to blow out the cobwebs.

09.01.2022 Outstanding quality of finish and such creative flare is certainly Designer Josiane Martin most admirable traits. She never fails to deliver and photographing her work is ever a pleasure. My challenge has always been to produce the photography that can show case all the very best qualities in all that she produces. Here is a project she recently finished. 09.01.2022 Ahh School Balls...it seem like forever since I went to mine on my last year of high school nearly 24 years ago. Photographing this two good looking people sure brings back some good as well as some sad memories of my past. Watching Julie Jennings grow from a teenager to a young adult in the space of a year has been remarkable. I hope the two of you had an amazing time at the Ball!

09.01.2022 With the fast disappearing sunlight, I had to really work hard to get my flash set up correct to allow for a soft enough light source. Two flash set up both adjusted accordingly, made for a satisfactory result. With some quick adjustment to my camera settings and some quick thinking, Holly and I managed this shot. I do love a challenge. Its truly on of the best way to improve

05.01.2022 Fashion Label: Beshay What can I say about this lovely lady...perhaps the word stunning inside and out. Lilly has that smile, and it never seems to fade even after nearly 8 hours in to the photo shoot. She surprised me by coming into my studio somewhat apprehensive, nervous and shy.... With guidance and some reassuring words, I was able to gain her trust and before I knew it, every shot I took of her turned to gold. Blessed with a beautiful figure a photogenic face and top by an equally beautiful personality and intelligence to boot, Lilly was a real pleasure to photograph. Thank you so much Lilly for being such an awesome model for us! You were simply amazing!

04.01.2022 To move forward, one must look at things at a different perspective. This has been the case with my Photography business and deciding on which direction to move towards. Having made the decision, Ive put a great amount of effort and time and money towards specializing in one area of photography. My motivation and drive is at an all time high and excited about the challenges that awaits.... Meanwhile, enjoy this photo taken from Bells Lookout yesterday afternoon. What a gorgeous view of our beautiful country side.

03.01.2022 I really wanted to create something epic for this two newly weds. With the weather being difficult all day, a clear break produced some spectacular highlights in the clouds and set the scene for this photo of Karyee Chow and Brawny Lam. My love for landscape photography was used to great effect here to set a stunning backdrop for this two wonderful couple.

01.01.2022 Its been a while since I last posted on my photography page. I needed to understand the direction I needed to take with the business so I can put all my energy towards success. The concept of being a jack of all trades and a master of everything is unrealistic. To be successful in anything, one has to specialise. I need to put all my efforts towards an area of photography Im very passionate about and that is capturing moments in time for families to cherish for generations... to come. But of course there is always room for some landscape photography during my down time :D . Here is a little something I took while holidaying in Singapore.

A lovely family and truly a pleasure to be able to immortalize this significant moment in a young ladys life. Im certain jaws dropped when she entered the room. ;)
