25.01.2022 This is a comission painting i completed for an amazing father, who is very proud of his little girl Jessica - and he wants to celebrate that. The amount of happiness it will bring them for the rest of their lives is the ultimate feeling of fufillment. There is no greater feeling for me, than to use my craft as vessel to bring a dream painting to life. To create a masterpiece that would have not existed if it werent for this meeting between a craftsman and an inspired clien...t. It is only through the connection we have together that we can both bring something beautiful to life. What gets you up in the morning ? What makes life exciting for you ? What can i create for you ?

14.01.2022 It was a truly heartwarming experience to visit port pirie, and interact with SOOO MANY locals and listen to all of their amazing stories about Des Parker and what a great man he is. The words "community leader" and "public figure" get thrown around so often in the public art scene, but i cannot explain in words how much of an impact this single man has had on their community. People were literally driving for hours and hours to come and see the portrait and to talk about Des and his contribution to their lifes. Hundreds of people all said the exact same thing - "there isnt anyone more deserving of having their portrait painted than Des Parker". Thankyou so much Big Picture Fest, Port Pirie Council and Vans the Omega for making this all possible :)

07.01.2022 A recent comission for the CEO of the Australian Refugee Association. I think this painting captures the vibrancy and life of the subject beautifully. The outdoor setting and the warm colour pallate are inviting and traditional, whilst still feeling cotemporary through the vibrancy and use of saturated colours.

06.01.2022 A few shots of a recent portrait i did for a good friend and an amazing client :) This piece was painted from a photocopy of a photo that was taken about 18 years ago ! So you can imagine the quality wasnt ideal, nevertheless i used some knowledge of colour and lighting to bring the subjects to life with vibrant skin tones and glowing highlights :) I like to paint in a way where the subjects appear lifelike and realistic, but have a certain level of smoothness and perfection ...that brings to mind a perfect world that is much more welcoming, simpler and calmer than our own. Its like viewing reality through a perfect lens. This will be one of the greatest mothers day gifts ever recieved, im sure it will live on for many generations. It is also a reminder of why comission art is always powerfull and relevant in an age of technology.

05.01.2022 Comission piece for decorated soldier and ex Special Forces Major Bramwell Connolly. GUYS!! I still remember drawing pictures for people in high school for their birthdays. Now six years later im painting these incredible scenes for someone of this magnitude ! I have never worked so damm hard on a painting and still have to pinch myself that i was chosen for such an amazing task. What an honour. I cant say it enough Bram, this means so much to me. To be chosen for something ...this special. Your a legend mate :) I remember watching the news when an artist from Australia had given a memorial painting to a fallen soldier and a purple heart recipient. I said to my mum "Thats the stuff i want to paint, something that has meaning. Not just a pretty piece of art." Just work hard guys. Focus on one thing and get good at it. Dont be the person that trys something new every year and ends up being average :) Be great :)
