25.01.2022 When your son decides on a relatively simple cake but you have to spice it up a little so of course we make an edible mask too! Spider man themed cake and party for Maddox's 5th birthday! It was such a fun day!
24.01.2022 Mine and my husbands wedding cake 10/12/2016 - photos by Tahlea Blunt Photography It was my first 4 tier design. I incorporated aspects to suit the rustic vintage theme and threw in some of techniques i love too and it holds a little story! The top tier was finished with vintage lace given to me from my mum, my dress had aspects of lace on it and our daughters name is Lacey - we actually have a lace makers and tailors in our ancestry too! Our son Maddox chose the gold sequins... tier - originally he wanted it to be left rainbow coloured but a slight nudge in the sparkly gold direction which he helped apply meant for a happy mummy! The burlap covered tier was purely to help tie in the theme and i love alternating heights in wedding cakes and the bottom tier also credit to my love of sugar paste ruffles! We had baby's breath and succulent centre pieces which finished the cake off and tied everything in perfectly. And guess what ......... WE FORGOT TO SERVE IT! We were so wrapped up in the moment and day just went so quickly. A huge thank you to Tahlea who captured the cake expertly and snapped this hilarious photo of how i wanted to cut the cake - look at the panic on my husbands face - Natalie put the knife down! Side note - that was my after wedding dress dress lol! I kept getting stood on so the comfy dress came out to play sooner than expected!

22.01.2022 Hello cake lovers I have some big news for you! Big changes are ahead. Piece A Cake Creative Cupcakes & Cakes are partnering with the amazing Sugar Allure to bring you a brand new name, brand new location and brand new kitchen and retail space!! Parkview Cakes conveniently located in good Ol Nambour 20mins from everywhere opposite Quota Memorial Park.... Vickie is a fabulous decorator and has been a good friend throughout my own caking journey but we were both ready to take it to the next level. Bigger space allows for bigger cakes!! Making cakes for you will still be our passion and main focus but our great little spot had room for more so we will also be offering a small café esk experience offering coffee, cold drinks, sweet and savoury treats and light snacks. We will also eventually be offering decorating classes open to the public at various skill levels so if youve got a passion but want some professional and friendly advice well be there to guide you. On top of classes we will have a retail space to stock various decorating items and supplies. From beginner to expert. This will be a slightly smaller growing process but if theres something you want to see stocked locally let us know and well try our best to see it happen. Id like to thank you all so much for following and making Piece A Cake what it is today for without it I wouldnt have the confidence to grow. I will still check in and keep the page live but will be redirecting orders to our new page. So pop on over and give us a like!! Vickie has been uploading her amazing work and I will be soon too! 21.01.2022 Hello my lovely cake followers! So I will be away and out of action from 14th - 24th of May as my wonderful husband and I are off overseas on our honeymoon! I will endeavour to get back to all enquires made during this time when I get back into the country - I'll be saving my data for my Skype and FaceTime sessions with my children!
