23.01.2022 Berry Pie shop NSW One bite everyone knows the rules! The sausage roll was slightly disappointing, under cooked! The pie had great flavour, pastry base was lac...king dexterity but held during consumption.. pie 4/5 sausage roll 1.5/5 That’s the review!

19.01.2022 At first I thought this curry pie was beef Massaman flavour but on asking the baker was told it is Indonesian Red Curry. Delicious! Not too spicy and full flavour. Firm pastry base and flakey top cooked to perfection. Only complaint would be that the meat has been ground and some chunks in the mix would have seen this pie get 5 stars. Get one at Baker's Knot Bakery, Raintrees Shopping Centre in Cairns.

19.01.2022 I went to Fuel Bakehouse on the Gold Coast on recommendation by our guests: Joe Adams recons " Their pies are like buckets of meat and they don’t fall apart." Nath Baylis says, " I second Fuel Bakehouse! Big pies with real meat and good flavours." Sorry but I must have come on a bad day. Foil tray meant that the pastry was very soft and the splooge gravy was difficult to contain. Meat is well cooked and lots of it but kinda pulled style. Stringy... ... Has anyone else tried these pies?

12.01.2022 Guest Pie Review by Xhoppy Gav Cramp: Steak & kidney Budgewoi bakery(Halekulani 13 min/8 km from where we live). It's more pie mince than "steak". However, the kidney is there in product and taste/flavour. The pastry is thin (how my wife likes it, I prefer a little more pastry). Could be bigger or slightly cheaper Pretty reasonable though, as we keep going back for them. Where we live, bakeries aren't making them. Or they don't make enough(have to get in early). They have... decent sausage rolls also, along with other flavoured pies and pasties. They have daily specials throughout the week.. All pies $2.50(all day), sausage rolls $1.50, bacon & egg rolls.......It's not to bad, and the staff are super friendly. There is a bakery a lot closer to where we live that is just incredible (No wintery S&K pies though). I've been wanting, or meant to review this other bakery, like, forever Awesome prices, portion sizes and quality. Check it out soon See more

11.01.2022 for all you vegans out there... (my apologies meat lovers) today i had the pie of the month at the bakehouse aldinga S.A. - vegetarian/vegan pie $7 yes i know,... no meat. pastry on top nice n flaky, rest of it nice nice, pie held up packed with a heap of veggies, mixed in with a curry flavor which worked well. i guess for a vegetarian pie, which i don't have many of, it was ok. 10.01.2022 Keeping it simple is sometimes the best way. Take a look at this curry pie from the sugar cane town of Mossman in Far North Queensland for example. Classic spicy curry taste provided by Keens curry powder with well cooked minced beef wrapped in a firm but thin square pastry base. Topped with a nice flakey lid. Excellent value at $5 a pie....

08.01.2022 Don't think pies need sauce? You're wrong! #freethesauce

05.01.2022 Guest pie eater review by Daretwowinarandomlife This place Nailed it haaard. Ken's Humble Pie Shop at The Entrance. Ticking all the boxes(a little pricey but the quality and portion size of the product, more than justifies that)... The Pastry, The filling, the temperature, the presentation, the shop and the staff. I went a bit nuts when I seen the list Lashed out on a steak & kidney and sausage n potato pies. Not wanting to wait until my next encounter, I also walked out w...ith a plain sausage roll(nothing plain about that either ). So, both the pies had substantial ingredients that could be seen and tasted. The textures were supporting the rest of the experience. The sausage roll was devine(not over seasoned or fatty to tast) The Steak and Kidney pie was impressive, as was the sausage n potato pie(not those inappropriate Coles "sausages" either ) Will I return Most definitely I wll return once(maybe twice ) each week, until I have reviewed all that appeals to my liking. I was offered a "Curried" version of the sausage n potato pie Maybe next time. As long as it's NOT that chemical curry liquid in a plastic bottle. I'll give these guys & gals (4) out of 5 at this stage. Be sure to check them out and show them this post. Let's support local businesses that are nailing their niche or products. 03.01.2022 Wangan Bakery's outstanding pies are multi award winners of the Official Great Aussie Pie Competition. It all starts with a solid foundation. Thin but firm pastry base and a flakey top won't let you down. Today I tried the Pea Pie which has a savoury mince filling and whole peas ( Not mushy ). The flavour reminded me of a Boy Scout jaffel sandwich. Yum! Then it was the award winning Pizza Pie. It's like a supreme pizza in a pie with beef, bacon, cheese, mushroom, tomato, chee...se.... and more!!! Get in your car and get one today. Just outside of Innisfail north Queensland.

03.01.2022 Guest Pie Review by Patty Thomson: Grants Pies in Mount Isa , a delectable chilli beef pie Nice crispy pastry and soft base , not to soggy. Was a nice pie.

03.01.2022 Voted best in Far North Queensland by locals Babinda Bakery pies are certainly delicious. You have to line up to get them. I got a Roast Beef and Chutney flavour. Heavy pie full of well cooked mince chunks and slices of roast beef. Sweetness of the chutney balances the gravy perfectly. A soft but cooked base holds up to the weight. Topped with light flakey pastry. Will be back to try more soon.
