24.01.2022 1. 5 people that I train squatted over 100kg for the first time this year. This is my favourite. Here's @kirk975 who smoked this 140kg squat last week. How good is the celebration!?

18.01.2022 2. @tagiev_daniel 150kg Bench. This is unbelievable strength for a 92kg violinist (yes you read that correctly). Dani has overcome chronic shoulder bursitis and been able to push some serious weights this year. It's not my favourite because it's more than I can bench but he can have the number 2 spot

18.01.2022 5. @lachlantscott with a huge 200kg deadlift in this unreal St Leo's gym atmosphere. I look forward to seeing what Scotty can do in the future.

17.01.2022 250kg Squat. This was my favourite individual lift from 2020. I am excited for 2021 and I hope to continue to inspire and motivate you guys by leading by example. That's what I'm all about...there ain't nothing to it but to do it!

17.01.2022 3. @dan.edwards9199 hair got longer and his deadlift got stronger this year. When we started he couldn't deadlift 40kg. This is 165kg. It was a tough lift but he never gave up. Well done Dan

16.01.2022 "We won't let history define our future. Our actions will do the talking. Our determination will turn doubters into believers. " -Andrew McCutchen If there's any doubters on my page I hope I prove you wrong. I'm coming for that 700kg total. 10 weeks out from next comp and we only just getting started @liftersleague... @switchblade_21 @muscle_nerd_ @steelandstonegym @j_southee97 See more

15.01.2022 "Not the final destination It’s the journey that you take Not the silver spoon It’s in how you choose to give... It’s how you feel inside And it is what you believe It’s how you live your life That makes you who you are" A little reminder to everyone on what life is all about... Create. Educate. Inspire. Spread Cheer not Covid! (DM me if you know where this quote is from because you're a real one )

14.01.2022 Yes, you are allowed to remove your mask for strenuous exercise. No, this wasn't strenuous exercise. It was lightweight baby! 107.5kg x5 moving easy @aplpowerlifting ... @ozstrength @steelandstonegym @qld_powerlifting See more

14.01.2022 Exciting times are ahead... If you're wondering where I am now, this is where! Come down this Saturday to Snap Fitness Indooroopilly Open Day

13.01.2022 CHANGE. Change is something that we have all had to deal with this year. I am no longer a personal trainer at Snap Fitness. I have transitioned to private PT and online coaching and it is a change for the better. I am grateful to have generous friends in my life that have loaned me equipment while my own is still on the way. This little bit of generosity has made the transition as smooth as possible for myself and my clients. If you do good deeds for others, some way or another those good deeds will make their way back to you. So incredibly grateful for @kayleb_mindset_growth @tif_lifts @odin_swanson96

12.01.2022 Often I'll use Instagram to read up on what some of the best lifters and coaches do to get results. Last week @wcroz posted saying the best cue to give anyone is "Slow Down". This was at the forefront of my mind during this set of squats and it paid its dividends instantly. This is the best and heaviest set of 5 I've ever done. Take your time, slow down, focus! @j_southee97 @tagiev_daniel @dan.powerlifter_ @switchblade_21 #powerlifting #squats #sbd #strength #strengthtraining #focus #yeahbuddy

04.01.2022 4. 4 clients with back pain are now pain free, happier, healthier and stronger. Jemma Price is one of them and her 60kg Bench to Larson Press transformation is my no.4 favourite.

03.01.2022 Only 4 spots left now... Get in quick!

02.01.2022 Look at all these beautiful people. Every person here has put a huge smile on my face today in the hopes that what we achieved can put a smile on someone else's. I grinded through 150 burpees for those that came to the bootcamp and braved the rain and together we have raised $700 for Beyond Blue (special mention to @saxonhs & @garyhooykaas who both donated $100 each!). Beyond Blue provides information and support to help everyone in Australia achieve their best possible menta...l health, whatever their age and wherever they live. In Australia, 45% of people will experience a mental health condition during their lifetime. In any given year, 3 million Australians suffer from depression and anxiety. This year has been particularly difficult in a social landscape that has been restricted and legislated. I know every single person above values and understands the importance of mental health. I am lucky enough to have such a great support network and I hope that together we can help Beyond Blue provide a support network to those that aren't as fortunate. It is important to help out your mates, band together and pull through the tough times. "...As we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others." @njreilly @sarah.mcquade.16 @dan.edwards9199 @ceccles_ @melissa_anne912 @tagiev_daniel @emma_fursey @nalydms @lara__mitchell @anyonewhoImissed!

01.01.2022 Let's talk Deadlifts with PT Pierce There is a school of thought that if you struggle to lockout your deadlift, your glutes are weak. Or if you struggle to brin...g the bar off the floor, your upper back is weak. This is not necessarily the case. The most common cause of failure in a deadlift is technical breakdown. So, here's how I teach it... Stand with feet just inside of shoulder width Setup with vertical shins touching the bar Place your hands on your knees with straight arms Hinge at the hips and grab the bar with your arms just outside of your knees Pull your shoulders towards your back pockets Brace your core and push the world away with your feet Stand up tall with the bar Reset & repeat! If you're unsure what these cues mean comment below for a session and let's improve your deadlift!
