16.01.2022 Due to the adherence of restrictions set in place by the Queensland Government by everyone in Queensland, we are seeing a dramatic turn around to the COVID-19 pandemic and as a result things are slowly returning to normal. The Queensland Government has released a plan to ease COVID-19 restrictions in 3 stages beginning on the 15th of May 2020 with 4 weeks in between each stage for review. Stage 1 (15 May 2020):... Up to 5 visitors allowed from another household Gatherings of up to 10 people will be allowed for the following activities/places: Outdoor, non-contact activity. Personal training. Pools (indoor and outdoor). Public spaces. Lagoons. Parks, playground equipment, skate parks and outdoor gyms. Libraries. Weddings. Hiking and other recreational activities in national/state parks. Places of worship and religious ceremonies. Funerals up to 20 people indoors and 30 people outdoors. Recreational travel day trips of up to 150kms within your region. Retail shopping. Dine in meals will be allowed with up to 10 people at restaurants, cafes, pubs, clubs, RSLs, hotels, but no bars or gaming. Also: Open homes and auctions. Beauty therapy and nail salons (but they must keep a register of their clients and a COVID SAFE Plan).

15.01.2022 As of today Stage 1 of Queensland's restrictions are in effect and you may do the following until June 12 when Stage 2 is reviewed and implemented. Well done Queensland, but, remember to continue to practise good hygiene and maintain social distancing (1.5m).

13.01.2022 In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Queensland Parliament passed the COVID-19 Emergency Response Act 2020 (the Act) and is the overarching legislation for the Justice Legislation (COVID-19 Emergency ResponseDocuments and Oaths) Regulation 2020. The regulation allows for certain documents to be signed and witnessed electronically. Also, the JPs in the Community program is currently being relaunched in stages over the next few weeks.... In the interest of providing you with as much information as possible, the Justices of the Peace Branch (JP Branch) will commence to update their website from Monday, 1 June 2020 on which sites are operating and sites that are preparing to open in the coming weeks. The Community Engagement Team within the JP Branch will continue to liaise with site hosts, coordinators and volunteers to facilitate the opening of all the remaining sites around the State. Be sure to check the Justice of the Peace QGov website for further updates and information.

09.01.2022 Even though restrictions may be easing, it is important to remain vigilant against the spread of COVID-19, this includes: Maintaining social distancing Ensuring good hand hygiene habits Limit non essential travel... Stay at home if you are sick Stay safe and remain vigilant.

07.01.2022 Starting tomorrow, Saturday 16th May, the following will be reopening, BUT, there’s a 10 person restriction AND you have to practise good hygiene and maintain social distancing. Council playgrounds. Outdoor gyms and exercise equipment. Barbecues. ... Broadwater Parklands (but not the bouncy pillow). Council skate parks. Outdoor basketball courts. Sports fields. Park bookings will be allowed again (for up to 10 people). City parking returns to normal (meters had been turned off and 2P zones had not applied)! Tourist Parks will still be open for essential travellers only. Community centres are open for essential services too, with the 10 person restriction.
