22.01.2022 Internet advertising is forecast to grow by 10% globally next year, the lowest level since 2001, according to research by the global media agency group Zenith. The shrinking growth rate means that cinema advertising, which is forecast to surge more than 12% next year, will become the fastest-growing ad medium.

20.01.2022 Anyone in business knows this struggle; the phone isnt ringing and you dont know what to do next This is especially true when youre still in the small business startup phase, and you cant afford to turn on big advertising to get the phone ringing. . Customers should not just be customers. You need to turn your customers into brand advocates and then ask them the question... "do you know of anyone who could benefit from my service?" If they know you, like you and trust you... theyll have no problem referring you on to their family, friends, strangers

19.01.2022 I literally cringe when I see this mistake People sharing a link to their YouTube video, on Facebook! They are competition to each other! So of course, if you want to try and get Facebook to promote YouTube videos, youre going to suffer. If its an organic post, reach will be influenced significantly. When done as a Facebook ad, theres a good chance youre going to have to pay the premium "youre promoting my competitor" tax.

19.01.2022 Lets face it... most advertising sucks! Stop telling me what YOU do and start telling me what it means to ME. Want feedback on your advert? Drop me a PM and Ill give you my honest feedback

18.01.2022 Bye bye Instagram like counts #noonecaredanyway

18.01.2022 Yesterday we decided to start the week with a little challenge; can we produce 100+ pieces of content for one of our clients. Not only did we want to produce the content, but we also wanted it posted/scheduled so we didnt have to do another thing to it! A quick it of maths worked out that we need to produce and post/schedule a piece every 5 minutes. Not much time for toilet or tea breaks!... Long story short, we got there with 103 pieces of content. Heres some of the types of content we posted for this construction business; - Videos and images of them doing the job - Testimonials - Educational videos about products and problems - Answers to frequently asked questions - Memes Why did we decide to post so much content Firstly, this is a months worth of content, so we didnt just spam Facebook, YouTube and Instagram. By giving education, showcasing what the business does, answering those questions, having a bit of humour it all gives value. This builds the KNOW-LIKE-TRUST relationship with their customers. Hopefully when we ask for the sale, weve already got a relationship with the customer. Secondly, whilst organic doesnt get much reach anymore, its good to see what type of content the audience interacts with. This can give ideas for testing for paid advertising campaigns in the future. Content is still King

12.01.2022 How I Got 15K People Interested in My Product with Zero Facebook Targeting I threw audience testing out of the window with this approach to Facebook advertising! Instead of testing combinations of demographics, interests, behaviours etc etc etc... I went big! I thought; I dont watch videos Im not interested in. So if someone is going to watch some of my video, they must be partly interested in what I had to offer! So I went broad and found over 15,000 people who were interested in my product!

06.01.2022 The only true way to learn is by doing. You cant afford to sit around waiting, hoping someone else will come along to help you execute on your idea. Worse yet; dont complain that you dont have the time. Making excuses wont help you start a business, record that video, lose that weight or create a better life for yourself.

06.01.2022 Stop trying to sell on the first date Imagine youre at a BBQ with your friends. In fact, your the host in youre own backyard. Then, some random walks in off the street, and starts selling you something youve never heard of. Im sure youre going to have some choice words for his intrusion.... Why the story? ... Facebook is no different! Dont be rude and interrupt my scrolling by trying to get me to buy something! That doesnt mean Im not interested, but how about some respect? Maybe make me laugh, make me happy, educate me? Then next time I might be prepared to buy. Remember... I dont know you - so why are you selling to me? There is no bigger mistake than trying to sell someone something without pre-heating the oven. Before people buy, they want to know you, trust you and like you. Sometimes you can do that in the first touch point, sometimes it takes multiple touch points. Regardless, dont ask for their credit card details on the first date!

06.01.2022 With major brands pulling out of Facebook advertising, it will be interesting to see how it effects the cost of ad spend over the coming months.

04.01.2022 Often we get asked; what budget do I need on Facebook Ads? Or worse we get told; I cant afford Facebook Advertising! Therefore, I wanted to share in depth the details of this Campaign that has been on fire for less than 2 weeks.... Why? 1. To give you insight from the REAL BUSINESS point of view 2. To show you Facebook Ads can work This REAL data was taken from a local brick paving company spending $10/day on Facebook Ads. No funnel or website; just ads and a Facebook page of 32 followers (likes DO NOT matter!). The goal was to get messenger conversations started on Facebook. So far, the results are; 26 conversations started = 9 quotes completed ($35,309.66 worth of work) = 3 jobs booked = 7 pending customers (awaiting quote, plans etc) = 7 time wasters (accidental clicks included) Obviously this has been within 12 days of the campaign starting, so the final data will change. However Weve already won!!! Even if there wasnt any more quotes or jobs booked in ROAS (Return on ad spend) = $23.65 That means for every dollar spend on Facebook ads, it produces $23.65 for the business. And yes, that is calculated off profit, not gross job value. How was this done? 2 target audiences within 30km of business tested 3 pictures and 1 video tested with each audience 2 ad copies for each picture/video Therefore, we started with 16 ads running. We quickly turned off a whole audience (killing 8 ads) based around our cost per message. After another few days, we removed 6 more ads, leaving just 2 which were clearly outperforming the rest. What is the moral of the story? You can have success with Facebook ads on a low budget. The key is testing, testing and more testing! Things to test; 1. Offer 2. Images/Video 3. Ad Copy (that text above the picture/video) 4. Headline If you have any questions, just shoot us a PM and well happily answer. Stay safe

04.01.2022 Troy explaining why its important to have a re-targeting / re-marketing campaign for your website & content. Sometimes people just finish their "business" and youre forgotten about! With a consistent re-targeting approach, you can continue to build the KNOW-LIKE-TRUST relationship with your audience

02.01.2022 Whilst TikTok is debated regarding data privacy and the Chinese Government, advertising on the platform continues to roll up. After seeing the roll out of Instagram Story ads a while back, its important we take a few lessons with the ad creative. Heres our Top 3 thoughts if youre going to play with TikTok ads...... 1. Content needs to be relevant to the platform and feel "natural". 2. Dont just sell. Give value to the audience, then ask for the business. 3. Test different ideas/creative. Its a new platform; find out what works for you! This could be a new opportunity; no matter how short-lived potentially!

02.01.2022 How will you quantify your self-worth when Facebook likes disappear tomorrow? As we saw on Instagram, Facebook will be trialing removing the like count in Australia tomorrow. Dont worry folks! You will still be able to see all these totally-not-self-validating totals on their own posts, just not on everyone elses.... Facebook hopes the move might make users more comfortable to express themselves openly on its platform. What do you think about these trial changes and will it make you express yourself more?
