This is an advanced skills course** (DNS Exercise 1 or DNS A required) The course will be highly interactive and focus on the application of Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization concepts and principles in the athletic training environment. The skill set you learn in this course will be able to be applied to any athlete. The tennis athlete provides us the opportunity to utilize all movement patterns (Ipsilateral, Contralateral, Undifferentiated), as well as, explore sensory motor training applications. Special Guest: Tom Stako, DNSET Strength and Conditioning Coach working for Rebecca ramkov, Aliaksandra Sasnovich and Slovak Olympic team in sprint canoe. His mission is to integrate DNS principles in strength/power training for quicker transfer to performance, reduce risk of injury and improve movement efficiency. 07.01.2022 Mistakes to Avoid When Exercising: Part 2 . Pull the belly button towards the spine has become a popular cue in the fitness world in order to activate the co...re . It gained popularity as a way to feel the activation of the transverse abdominis which is the corset-like muscle that wraps around the abdominal region and helps in stabilizing the trunk and spine. This activation is crucial for safety and power in activity, however the cue is often misinterpreted . What typical occurs with this cue is a sucking in action which tilts the pelvis out of neutral and the spine into flexion, causing decreases stability of the spinal segments and energy leaks throughout the body . Put this under load and now we really have a problem . Loaded spine + poor stability = OUCH .
