24.01.2022 Hi Guys thanks for your feedback on the air conditioning.. this has been reported to centre management and it is in the process of being repaired. This fault is effecting the entire floor. In the interim we are acquiring some heavy duty industrial fans to ease the pain!! ... Have a great weekend! Look forward to the faces of pain on social media!!!
24.01.2022 Arms pulling straps is a great set of exercises to work the backline as well as the back of the arms. Rather than moving into the exercise rigidly, Im trying to articulate up from head through neck and into the upper back, and then articulate back through on the way down. Keeping my collarbone and chest wide and arms in their socket, I can ensure I use the correct muscles, and not roll forward in the shoulder and neck complex.... its all about the mid back muscles, not the poor old neck and upper traps! 20.01.2022 Hey Guys! Its been a full on year, filled with lots of changes, we are going to be closing over the Christmas period for a well-earned rest. Saturday 22nd December will be our last classes for the year, run by the fabulous Belinda, so to get your last Pilates Nation fix of the year, make sure you turn up to it! We will be opening our doors again on Wednesday 2nd January starting with the morning classes. We hope you all have an amazing Christmas and new year and hope Santa brings you lots of presents!!! We will see you guys again in the new year to smash your new years resolutions, have some fun and feel the burn whilst doing it!!!
19.01.2022 A bit of the single leg action from the crew.. so important in highlighting side/side strength differences, giving the opportunity to individually work each leg. Its also great for working on the stability of the pelvis as you try and keep your hips square and spine in neutral... not such an easy feat when loading only one side. We followed it up with some kneeling /arm back work.

After talking and getting feedback from you guys throughout the classes there will be a change to the timetable coming in on April 1st (no its not April fools!!!!) so be sure to check as some classes have been moved / added / deleted. We will also be starting up a Functional movement class coming with the new timetable, on Monday and Wednesday nights. These classes will incorporate the use of weights and some of the Pilates equipment in our Small Group Room! Th...ese classes initially will have a max of 4 people in them and may grow to accommodate more. These classes are available for our group packs crew / members and we are setting up a separate pack just for these classes at a discounted price if youre interested in this. For any additional information, send us an email at [email protected] and we hope to see you guys come down and give it a go! Also!!! On Friday mornings we are going to be putting on a Mums and Bubs class taken by the awesome Jacq! These classes will be focusing on pelvic floor exercises as well as traditional pilates concepts. We are also opening this class up to those of you whos children are that bit older and arent in school yet or are even home schooled. Some exercises suit some but not others and so on... the whole class working on essentially the same thing through different exercises. Unfortunately Belinda has advised that she will be away for a few days due to a personal family situation.... 13.01.2022 Saturday morning crew with some serious variations on the standard footwork.... not to be laughed at - it burns! I remember when I first started reformer classes.. the footwork section absolutely killed my legs!!! I also remembering that light bulb moment a few months after starting, when I realised how much more I could do, how much more burn I could cope with, and I remember smuggly looking at my thighs and realising that they were more shapely and toned than theyd ever b...een! ... Even with everything I did before, Pilates was what caused the most remarkable change in shape and tone of my entire body. And I still love that feeling of endurance and strength... my legs never get sore, they never get tired and when everyone struggles in a hike, I just keep comfortably with my pace. Yep... 06.01.2022 Hi everyone, sadly tomorrow will be the end of Pilates Nation Williams Landing for the time being - we have some plans for the future about possibly opening in a different location so stay tuned. With the closure of the studio you may be wondering what happens with the client files that we have for some clients that contain private personal / health information, programming etc. In essence the information that we have on file is your personal information and is protected by l...aw. Under no circumstances are we allowed to transfer your information to any other party unless we have your approval. There is a process that needs to be followed for any health/medical information to be released/transferred and we are waiting to hear back on what we need to do to ensure that we comply with these requirements. There will probably be some sort of form that needs to be filled in - not quite sure but will let you know as soon as we find out. Once we have these releases we will then action any requests. Ensuring your privacy is of the utmost important to us here at Pilates Nation. As soon as we have more information about the process that needs to be followed we will let you know.
06.01.2022 Counting exercises in general is not a strength of mine, but counting to early in the morning is particularly hard! .... but I managed with a little help from my friends . And here they are, all performing the style of 100s of that suits their body - this exercise is all about building endurance and strength through the flexor system but if it just hurts your neck or your low back, then modifications are available until youre strong enough to do the exercise as Joseph Pi...lates intended. We have made a few changes and added a few extra group reformer packs to our app. If you guys look on the Pilates Nation app, we now have a valid for 30 days set of classes and a valid for 1 year pack. If you are one of our clients who buys packs of classes or dont want to commit to a membership, these are great for coming 1 to 2 to 4 times a week. Also this week will be Serenas last week with us as she has accepted an amazing offer closer to home. Im sure ...many of you will miss her classes and the burn she brings! Fortunately we have a new instructor starting next week!!! Beth will be taking over Wednesday nights and Matt will be moving to Thursday nights. 04.01.2022 Saturday started with a bit of this.... to get the blood pumping, heart racing and the engine right and proper running I always find a workout in the morning helps me wake up and get going, and it keeps my energy level up during the day! But the best bit about morning exercise is... its done and dusted! No guilts as you sit lazily on the lounge in the evening - your workout already happened so when your day goes to pot as it inevitably does in our busy lives, exercise (so important for our mental and physical health) doesnt get put to the side for other important stuff like family. 02.01.2022 What a great bunch of students! Foundations class and here were learning Elephant, which is a bloody tricky exercise to get right. Keep the shoulders down, arms straight, dont push from the arms/foot bar, pull the abs in, keep the pelvis still and swing your thighs back and forwards (aka hip extension).... using your abdominals to pull your legs back under . But we broke it down, layered it up and just for a bit of after play, tried it on one leg!
