25.01.2022 Now that the HPCYC class isn't running every Saturday, some of the regulars are opting to come to my other classes. If you would like to come to the UNIGYM in Grace St Sandy Bay on Thursday morning starting at 9 am - 10 am. I have a big class in the dojo. There is a casual fee or you can opt to buy a gym membership. After that you can find me every Thursday 10.30 - 11.30 am at FRIENDS HEALTH and FITNESS in Wilson St North Hobart. Casual fee or various memberships available. I would love to see familiar faces and new people in the classes.

25.01.2022 The Seated and Standing Pilates class in North Hobart is MOVING. We have been offered to become part of the CHATS program with Lifeline. It's a really exciting time as we will be able to reach out to more people. The group has been building over the past 2 years and there is a dozen strong attendees and others that come and go.The class is a social group as much as an exercise class and we take our exercise seriously. We are moving to a bright and lovely room in the Belleriv...e Quay building on level 4. The parking is much better than North Hobart and Lifeline Chats program offer a taxi/bus service at $5 per head return with a taxi card. You have to be 60 and over to join Chats. If you are over 65 you need to have a My Aged Care assessment to join Chats. I am excited to be a part of an organisation that offers community engagement for people who feel isolated and don't know where to turn for friendship. 24.01.2022 Wednesday morning seated and standing Pilates class is in good shape. We moved to Bellerive to become part of the Chats South group and have gained some fantastic new people. We are back to a core group of 15. I love the energy of the people in this class. The over 60's are a happy friendly lot. If you are over 60 and would like to join a great exercise class then send me (Gaye) a message and I can tell you how to join. We need men in the class please. Come on guys it's time to get moving!



20.01.2022 Let's aspire to be able to do this all our life

20.01.2022 My Saturday Pilates classes at the Hobart PCYC have come to an end. I made the decision to finish there as I am making time to do shift work and the theory is "one door closes, another one opens". I will miss the wonderful people who attended the class and hope to see you in the Thursday classes at Uni Gym or Friends Health and Fitness.

16.01.2022 Just recently I attended a stretch therapy workshop run by Kit Laughlin. I have never stretched so hard in my life! I feel great for it. Stacey Loukis organised for Kit to come to Tassie. Stacey runs stretch therapy classes and was taught this method by Kit. The venue we were in all weekend was Healthy Horizons in Dodges Ferry. It was a great venue and lots of people attended the workshop. Kit has a Facebook page if you look up Stretch Therapy. It was a very good way to spend 2 days.



04.01.2022 We have been having a great year with our seated and standing Pilates class. We had to relocate from Mather's house in the city to start afresh in North Hobart from the Baptist Church. We had a great turn up today. Sometimes people don't feel like leaving home but they make the effort and are always glad they came. I feel really blessed to have such a wonderful group of ladies to help with exercise. We have between 12-15 people come along each week.
