25.01.2022 HAPPY FRIDAY! I thought Id introduce myself to any new followers My name is Luana founder of PilatesOnKeys, I have my own studio in Beaumaris, bayside in Melbourne. Ive been doing Pilates for the last 20 years, teaching since 2007 and this is my passion. I come from a fitness background of body toning and marathon running. ... I was suffering from degenerative disc issue in my lower back after my third child. lumbar fusion surgery was suggested. It was Not an avenue I wanted to take with 3 small children. I heard about Pilates and gave it a go. Its being a long journey with Healing and strengthening my body out of pain initially but now to full range of movement mostly due to pilates. Due to Covid pandemic my studio is now online and we run Live classes for mat, barre and a variety of private at home Pilates sessions. Adding more work for the gluts with lifted heels. The side lift adds the lateral stabilisers of the torso along with lateral glut focus and finally the obliques. A few things I do to keep myself grounded is: Drinking water before my first meal of the day ... Making your bed!!
