18.01.2022 Yoga nidra or yogic sleep is a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping, like the "going-to-sleep" stage, typically induced by a guided meditation. There is evidence that yoga nidra helps relieve stress. An ancient technique from India, it has now spread worldwide and is also being applied by the US Army to assist soldiers to recover from PTSD. Starting Thursday 12 November at 6.30pm with weekly classes thereafter. To find out more about classes and pricing options or to save your place for any class click Book now, choose your class and make your reservation.

18.01.2022 Yoga Nidra is a form of guided meditation also known as yogic sleep or effortless relaxation. It’s usually practised lying down with a teacher guiding the session. The practice draws our attention inwards, and we learn to surf between the states of wakefulness and sleep, where our body finds its natural state of equilibrium (homeostasis) the breath balances and becomes quiet, unconscious and conscious aspects of the mind reveal themselves, and we fall into an innate state of deep, blissful awareness. 16.01.2022 NEW class added on Tuesday 5.30pm There is also a Pilates foundation class starting Monday 16th November 5.10pm

16.01.2022 Finding Balance Reducing stress Increasing health Yin-yang-yoga will help with slowing down our stress levels while at the same time integrating activity and movement into it. We find both qualities, ‘movement and rest’ in this yoga-style which has dramatic effects on our health. Yin-Yang-Yoga combines two seemingly opposite styles of yoga into one unique practice which has both: the benefits of yin with relaxation, gentleness and ease combined with dynamic movement and stre...ngth that we attribute to yang. Practice includes strength, dynamic and alignment with mindful flows and passive poses that are held for longer periods of time. 6-week course starting Thursday 1 July 6.40pm $90.-- Book online: www.pilates-yoga.com.au or on your momoyoga app https://www.momoyoga.com/pilates-yoga/

05.01.2022 The chakra system provides a theoretical base for fine-tuning our yoga practise to suit our unique personality and circumstances. Traditionally, Indians saw the body as containing seven main chakras, arranged vertically from the base of the spine to the top of the head. Chakra is the Sanskrit word for wheel, and these "wheels" were thought of as spinning vortexes of energy. Each Chakra is responsible for different behaviours and values in life, such as security, communication..., compassion, and love. They’re also said to regulate various bodily systems and senses. Every Chakra is also associated with one of the five elements of nature and represented by a colour of the rainbow. If energy is blocked in one of the Chakras due to bad habits or inhibiting environmental factors this can result in emotional, mental, or even physical imbalances. These, in turn, may even become apparent in symptoms like anxiety, lethargy, digestive or other health issues. The7 classes are designed to ignite the physical body, stimulate the mental realm, and awaken the soul by honouring the natural flow of energy inspired by the Chakras. You will connect to your natural way of aligning while feeling rooted, strengthen and nourished in both body and soul! When: 4 Nov 16 Dec 5.30pm Where: 175 Lennox Street, Maryborough QLD How much: $100 To bring: your mat Click BOOK NOW button to register www.pilates-yoga.com.au

02.01.2022 Would you like to Restore&Reset with a yoga nidra (meditation) class Thursday's at 6.40pm?

01.01.2022 Generally, the goal of a mat Pilates class is to strengthen the body’s powerhouse, a Pilates term that refers to your abdominals, lower back muscles, pelvic floor, hips and glutes. Through a series of floor exercises using sometimes resistance bands, balls and rings, the workout helps build, sculpt and tone these muscles, giving your body a long, lean look. Pilates can aid in flexibility and improving posture, as stretching your body is a vital part of class. While low-impact, Pilates burns fat during and after class, as your muscles continue to shed calories long after class ends.
