24.01.2022 There’s something about an old staffy. They just don’t give in. They keep waking up day after day like an Ever Ready battery charged and ready to give it their all even when there is no more to give. Even when it should of ended long ago. They say a dog is a mans best friend but I find this very simplistic. Ive had many best friends but none of them have loved me quite like my dogs or been any where as loyal. Tommo wove his way through my heart and now this heart is broken on...ce again No more ear-piecing yelps and barks of excitement when I return home. No more holding back the annoyance of the barking knowing one day it would be greatly missed No more hugging customers feet No more guessing his age of seventeen year after year No more slobbering on the new lounge No more protecting you from children No more saying he was old jacks dog but he adopted me No more feeling extra guilty when I leave for holidays knowing you would pine at home and not even move from your bed until I returned No more Lifting you in and out the car No more protecting you from Rocky No more Tommo licks on the face No more shadow My heart is broken RIP Tomodachi
