23.01.2022 Due to the current restrictions, we have been staying at home like everyone else. But yesterday, we made a magical video for a very special girl in Sydney who is celebrating her one year anniversary since having her life saving heart transplant surgery! Can't wait to show you all the end result. Happy Heartaversary Jada!

18.01.2022 HANCOCK PROSPECTING PILBARA SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS 2020 It feels so good to slowly getting back into events/children's entertainment after Covid-19 closed down all events. Thank you so much to the Karratha Ameuter Swimming Club for having Mermaid Ariel last night at the opening march parade. ... Karratha is currently hosting the Hancock Prospecting Pilbara Swimming Championships at the Karratha Leiaureplex this weekend. Hundreds of talented swimmers have travelled from around the State to compete. So if you have some time over the weekend, head down to cheer on the kids. 17.01.2022 Calling all Princesses, Princes and Superheros. Ariel the Little Mermaid and some other Disney Princesses will be at the FeNaClNG Float Parade. Not sure if you saw us last year, but we had the Mermaids on the back of a Ute. ... We will be doing the same thing this year, with the Disney Princesses walking next to the Ute, and we would love to get some kids involved. If your little munchkin would like to dress up as a Princess, Prince or superhero and walk with us, that would be amazing! Marshalling starts at 5.15pm for a 6pm start. We will be there from 5.15pm, But I don't want the kids to get bored standing around, so as long as you are there by 5.40 - 5.45pm that would be great. We will have bubbles for the kids to blow out into the crowd as we walk down the street. Please message me to register your interest xx

14.01.2022 I have been very quiet since the FeNaClNG Festival as this little Mermaid is expecting a little one with fins and this pregnancy has not been too kind. But I came out of hiding last week to help Spirit Radio with their Morning Tea raising money for Telethon. Thank you for having me! Telethon holds a big place in my heart as I am a Raine Study child, which is a joint venture study with Telethon and and number of universities. ... It's purpose is to improve human health and well-being, through the study of a cohort of Western Australians from before birth onwards. Back in 1989, a number of women were choosen by the Raine Study to monitor the pregnancy, birth, childhood, adolescence and now adulthood. My mum was one of these women choosen, and even now, at 29 years old, I still go to Perth and do all sorts of tests for the Raine Study. Very excited for next year, as my own Little Mermaid will be able to continue these studies with The Raine Study.

13.01.2022 This needs to be addressed! STOLEN ARTWORK It might not seem like much to some, but in reality, it is a huge problem! If someone has their artwork stolen and then their work is sold at a cheaper price, no one will buy from the original designer. The person who put all their effort, love and time into making something for others to enjoy. ... I saw this ad from Shein and believed it looked like a Finfolk Production design (the company where I buy majority of my tails from). So I emailed the team. Yep, turns out it is stolen. BACK STORY In 2018, Finfolk Productions tried making their own dive wear. However the dive wear company that they went to, to make the products, illegally starting selling the designs themselves to online retailers! So Finfolk pulled the plug on making their dive wear, but still to this day, they constantly see their stolen artwork being used to make a profit from other companies. And Finfolk isn't seeing a single cent for their work. WHAT CAN WE DO? The counterfeiting industry is a very large and tough industry to control and large cosmetics, fashion, and tech companies spend millions of dollars every year shutting down counterfeiting operations with new ones popping up all the time. As a small business, FinFolk does not have the resources to go after counterfeiting manufacturers especially given that these counterfeiters do not recognize international copyright laws and are based overseas. The best way to shut down these companies is to not support them-- if no one buys their product they will stop making them. Unfortunately, since the low price is very appealing and not many people know what's going on it's a difficult battle. Finfolk encourage people in the community to share about this issue on their personal Facebook pages, and for those who have other media platforms such as mermaid facebook pages, youtube channels, etc. that they also talk about it on those

And I can fit into my gorgeous tails once more. ... Can't wait to see all the kids (and adults) again after having a break during my pregnancy and arrival of my Princess. 05.01.2022 Mermaid Ceni will be at The Youth Shed at 9am on Saturday, Feb 23rd to celebrate the centers 7th birthday! Ceni is so excited to meet all the kids and take some selfies on the shellphone. She will be alongside Fairy Sky, so come say hi and get a face paint or glitter tattoo.

02.01.2022 While I had a quick stop over in Perth, I was able to catch up with @mermaidjessicapearl from @perthmermaids She is so beautiful and an amazing performer. She is actually one of the first mermaids I ever met and is a huge influencer in my Mermaid career.

02.01.2022 What a big weekend at FeNaClNG! Big thank you to all the kids who came and visited us at the Woodside Interactive Tent. I enjoyed hearing all about human life and sharing my adventures under the sea. As most of you are aware, I am having a little Mermaid baby and transforming into a Mermaid proved to be a little more difficult than usual. So I need to give a big shout out to Pirate Penny, The Desert Princess Team, The Lion's Club, Marg Bertling (FeNaClNG MC) and my husband G...raeme who looked after me so well. 02.01.2022 What a great idea this is! Did you know that Royal Life Saving Association WA conducted a research into using mermaid tails safely in 2018. And they concluded that a child needs to be over the age of 7 and has passed a Stage 6 in the Department of Education swim program before being able to safely wear a mermaid tail. If a child is below Stage 6, they need to be at least 10 years old before being able to safely wear a mermaid tail. ... There is a huge demand with young kids wanting to be mermaids, but it can very be dangerous if they can't swim competently. However, now thanks to Coastal Mermaids, the younger kids (and adults if they aren't comfortable in a monofin) will be able to look and feel like a mermaid, without restricting their legs. Can't wait for these to become available!
