Following the presentation, there was a wider acceptance and understanding of Pilbara Solar’s commercial model, with Aboriginal equity participation in renewable energy projects. 20.01.2022 Folks, this is the Gilghi - a stand alone remote area water filtration unit. It is solar powered and silent. Each day, the Gighi is able to produce 28,000-250,000 litres of water to Australian Drinking Water Guideline standards from any water source, (sea water, bore water mine de-water, contaminated water). It is the size of a shipping container and comes on the back of a truck. It is scalable, easy to maintain and customized to each customers particular water requirements.... The Gilghi has the potential to transform the Pilbara by making any water source potable. It can provide safe drinking water without harsh chemicals in remote communities. It can clean water after contamination. It has the potential to create closed water loops for big water users, and make water recyclable. 11.01.2022 Boosting tourism development to bring more visitors to the Pilbara region and creating opportunities for new industries are the key focus for projects funded th...rough the McGowan Governments Regional Economic Development (RED) Grants program. Eight Pilbara projects will receive $690,455 in the first round of RED grants, creating an estimated 60 new jobs in our Pilbara over five years. The Minister for Regional Development Alannah MacTiernan and I are committed to diversifying our Pilbaras economic growth from the traditional mining and resources sector toward new tourism and economic opportunities. One of these projects is building solar capacity for remote Indigenous communities through a $50,000 grant to Pilbara Solar Pty Ltd. The grant will go towards developing partnerships between remote communities and the private sector to begin the process of developing a local solar farm, and working towards shovel ready status. Director Samantha Mella had the opportunity to discuss Pilbara Solars vision of cross border renewable energy trade with the PM. It was a fun and lively discussion! We are standing with Sally Ann Watts, Australias Trade Commissioner to Indonesia. The PM reported that Pilbara Solars concept for renewable energy export using HVDC technology had already been raised with him that morning at the ASEAN Young Leaders forum. #pilbarasolar

07.01.2022 I had the privilege of meeting Adam Goodes, at the Gilghi Remote Area Water training yesterday. The Gilghi is an offgrid containerised water filtration system. Ampcontrol shared their thinking around the R&D journey that lead to the development of the Gilghi, which has been designed to bring down both the Capex and Opex of remote water supply. This value is delivered in extremely smart electronics, a "nanogrid" that can filter 28 -125 KL of water a day to Australian Drinking Water Guidelines (ADWG) with a 4.8 kW solar array. Each Gilghi is customized by volume and filtration, depending on the local requirements and source water. Pilbara Solar is part of the distribution team along with Indigenous Defence Infrastructure Consortium (IDIC). All Gilghi Units sold in WA will be manufactured locally in Perth by CPS National.
