25.01.2022 What a woman! So nice to see a politician having the back of a true Australian native!

22.01.2022 Yes it would be good to see these laws adopted by more councils which would mean more responsible pet owners

20.01.2022 Is anyone traveling to Exmouth or to Broome? There is a small Hawsbill turtle in need of a lift to the rehab facility please. Doesn't need much, just a safe spot inside a car out of the sun. Please share around...... it is already quite thin and needs to start treatment as soon as possible.

17.01.2022 We would love to introduce a new facebook page. Pilbara Wildlife carers have been looking after wildlife in the region for the past 20 years, so we decided to have an online presence in Hedland. Please share amongst your networks and help support this not for profit organization

07.01.2022 And then there was 8.... Toni was transported to us from Karratha after she was found floating in the Dampier Marina. Thank you Peter for giving her a ride and ...thank you to Pilbara Wildlife Carers for first aid and making all the arrangements to get her to Broome. She is a bit flat but some fluids and medication should see her on the road to recovery. See more

07.01.2022 An important post on the classification of Dingos!

04.01.2022 It is with a sad and heavy heart that I write this post. On Monday this week after being in care for 4 weeks the two female ospreys died. To say that I am bitterly disappointed is an understatement. I have no idea what happened. I went out on Monday and as I picked up Bub to weigh her she had a fit and died. And then Marlu not long afterwards. I noticed the chicks were spooked and jumpy. I do not know what happened in the aviary, as there is nothing in there would attack them, plus they were still in the playpen and covered over. They were big and healthy and strong. I have no answers. Karlu is fine and growing well. Up on his feet now and has a mirror for company which is a poor substitute for his sisters. He was also really scared and jumpy on Monday and Tuesday but has settled. Needless to say he is not in the aviary at present.

03.01.2022 Our thanks to NAR Broome for taking her and thanks to our carer Peter for driving her up. Hope she gets well soon!
