24.01.2022 Thank you to all the ladies who joined our last Wellness Retreat for 2020 yesterday. And a big thank you to all of you who have attended the other retreats we've hosted this year. It certainly was the right year to launch this new experience on board with everything that has been happening. And we have good news... they will be continuing in 2021 so more of you can enjoy the day. We'll be having a little pause as the summer sun gets hotter making it a little trickier to do o...ur gentle exercise on the beach but we'll be kicking them off again in April! Next year's Wellness Retreat's will also be available as part of a weekend getaway with accommodation and other activities or on request, we can also arrange a Private Wellness Retreat for you and your friends or colleagues.

22.01.2022 Meet the Crew Co-owner of Pilgrim Sailing and wife of the Skipper, Clare. Clare fell in love with Australia while visiting from England to watch the Rugby World Cup in 2003 (). In 2004 she relocated to to Sydney in 2004.... Shortly after moving "down-under" she took up sailing and has never looked back, taking every opportunity possible to leave the office early for twilight racing or the Friday night offshore races. It was on one of those offshore races that Clare & Paul met! In 2010, they married and set up Pilgrim Sailing and for five years, Clare worked by day as an accountant in the financial services industry and by night & weekends running and growing Pilgrim Sailing with Paul. In 2015, Clare escaped the corporate world and Clare, Paul & Pilgrim headed north to Magnetic Island for the first time. The rest as they say is history! A few weeks ago we hosted a glamorous photoshoot on Pilgrim and Magnetic Island, and Bask Eyewear It was blowing and the weather made it challenging but the crew managed to make it happen, resulting in our some amazing photos of our gorgeous model with the wind in her hair! 20.01.2022 Meet the Crew Our Skipper, Paul or as he now prefers "Captain" (the rest of the crew's names begin with "C" !!) Paul has been in the marine industry for over 20 years. He started his working career in RAAF and since then has fine tuned his skills in a number of industries including a Dive Master in Cairns in the 1980s, a relief engineer on a prawn trawler off Darwin and many many more.... He fell in love with Pilgrim when he first clapped eyes on her and never imagined owning her, let alone operating her commercially for 10 years! How life can surprise you! Paul's love for sailing is apparent for all to see - whether it's a gentle sunset cruise or racing in the Sydney to Hobart (he's done two!!). If it involves sailing, he's happy! 13.01.2022 Meet the Crew Meet Clayton, our Skipper in training. Clayton is a North Queensland boy with "salt water in his veins" and has called Magnetic Island home for the last 14 years. ... Prior to settling on Maggie, Clayton spent 5 years circumnavigating Australia on his yacht Buccaneer - an experienced sailor who has a love for the sea and of course Magnetic Island. Many know Clayton from his days running his successful Fruit & Veggie Business in Edge Hill, Cairns, the iconic Arcadia Store here on the island with his partner Julie, as the welcoming smile at Mitre 10 or as one of the islands dedicated Volunteer Rural firefighters.
